Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

Upcoming events:

Wednesday, March 4th, 9pm - Midnight: Richard Balls, author of "Be Stiff: The Stiff Records Story"
Stiff Records was one of the most groundbreaking labels of the punk/new wave era, launching the careers of Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Madness, Lene Lovich, Ian Dury, Rachel Sweet, Wreckless Eric, and dozens of others.

British author Richard Balls -- who previously documented the life of Stiff star Ian Dury in a 1999 biography -- has put together a definitive history of the much-beloved label. Evan will be chatting with the author about his blow-by-blow account of The World's Most Flexible Record Label, and of course playing hit after hit from Stiff's glory days. Tune in to the Evan "Funk" Davies show Wednesday night at 9pm and find out why it took Balls to write about Stiff.
