...Pounds, Schillings - & in my case, no sense...
Avatar 9:10pm Holly in NC:

Blinded by the light...

@efd -as you know I adore your show, I can only assume this color scheme is somehow meant to chastise me for unkind things I've unwittingly done to others. Mea culpa, mea culpa!

Glad to be here. Hi everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm Stevel:

What's that song again?

Not sure why I've never made it out to see Bob Log.
Avatar 9:15pm Holly in NC:

@Steve1 - Start with exploring DooRag's small but immensely satisfying back catalog. CataLOG :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16pm fleep:

Greetings, efd and listeners. And non-listeners, too, what the hey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Stevel:

Love this pic from the Bob Log page. Speakers covered in plastic means PARTY!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Rainy summer's night dance party...yay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm efd:

Good Wednesday evening, everybody! Thanks for listening!

Holly, I can assure you that all I was trying to do was evoke the hot summer sun - no personal affront intended!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm Stevel:

Tried to slip that one in early, eh?!

@LPB: That's right! When you play vinyl at that speed you can't fit the whole title on the label.

Avatar 10:05pm Holly in NC:

@Loretta - Meant to comment last week - I really, really need to pick your brain re how to acquire Lustettes oevre, anytime efd plays anything of yours I clicky star like mad! :-) Usual go-to Discogs no help.

Happy Anniversary Evan - We can't recall radio life before you... Love 2-4-6-8 mortorway, brings back the good old days at RU - Looking forward to the next ten -enjoy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm efd:

thanks AWS, phat, Peteski & 12539! I appreciate the congrats, but certainly not soliciting same. It just felt like it was worth noting.
  10:19pm Dr. Pierzynski:

Oh yeah.
  10:19pm Mike Sin:

So, I was actually behind the wheel driving the Jersey roads when you played "Radar Love." I guess I never heard that "edited for the single" version previously. Maybe I did, but classic-rock radio definitely pounded the album version into all our heads.
Avatar 10:21pm northguineahills:

I always like when I randomly put on WFMU, and efd is on, it seems to happen often. must be on Wednesday nights, I must randomly put on WFMU.
  10:24pm daniel:

Hey Evan

Love the Should track!!
  10:31pm AWS from MP:

glad you did mention it, Evan - always worthwhile to mark certain milestones - you were quite the utility fill-in guy back when...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm efd:

I think he checked in on the comments earlier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm efd:

5 years what...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm Uncle Michael:

A.J. checked in...saw words...remember he couldn't read...called up Kevin Millar and asked him to be his new BFF.
Avatar 10:41pm Droll:

The drum part on the previous tune (Archie Bronson Outfit). The outro drums were from the Bowie tune 5 Years. Woodmansey!
Happy 10 year anniversary, BTW!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm efd:

ah! I didn't pick up on that, will have to listen more closely.
  10:44pm phat:

I noticed that too, Droll.
Avatar 10:45pm Droll:

You have a special in 2 weeks! You need to "brush" up! I've heard your singing -- I assumed you were busy practicing tubs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm Uncle Michael:

Evan, I'm glad your show was here for me to become a listener... of.
Avatar 10:51pm Danne D:

Hey EFD :)
Hey Funk Fans :)
Hey Holly :)
  10:52pm phat:

I have no idea why I haven't listened to much Jobriath. I need to see that movie, too.
  10:56pm Nick:

I watched that documentary on backup singers last night, 20 Feet From Stardom...it made me hear the backup singing on that Jobriath song in a new way. So great.
  10:58pm ?:

@ Holly ~ hi! just got back... definitely email me & we can chat! need to ask you something also..
Avatar 10:59pm Loretta:

Holly, that was me (not sure what I did)!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@Nick - Where did you see that documentary? It sounds interesting.
  11:03pm Nick:

@Ken - Yeah, it's really inspiring (especially Darlene Love's history and the part with Merry Clayton reminiscing about her vocals on Gimme Shelter). It's on Netflix streaming.
  11:05pm Holly in NC:

Loretta, I will email!

Hi Danne xo

Walking dogs, hard to type, but easy to enjoy show, thanks as always efd
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm Stevel:

A.J. Pierzynski was formerly a Fort Wayne Wizard (now Tin Caps. Johnny Appleseed. Don't ask.) and pretty much was a tool from the start, as I recall.
  11:09pm Nick:

Thanks for the Jobriath AD info...will check it out.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Does Comet Control sound a little like Pink Floyd? Speaking of which, I guess they have a new album due out this fall; their first since The Division Bell in 1994.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50pm efd:

They certainly did on that song! I was waiting for someone to call me out on that. :)
Avatar 11:50pm Danne D:

Dang Billy, I was actually in the City tonight - wish I had known. Too much good stuff happening on school nights *sigh*
  11:51pm JakeGould:

You know what sounds like a bad idea? A Pink Floyd album in 2014.
  11:51pm Eddy in Australia:

Hi Evan: Just quickly chiming in to say great show, and congrats on your anniversary (not to mention your always-perfect 'Melbourne').
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52pm efd:
