	♥ 12:21pm Threemoons: Also had a surreal moment after my doc appt this AM. Had to find a UPS drop box. Forgot how cold the UWS can be. Streets virtually abandoned. Needed coffee; refuse to go to Starfucks. Found an actual old school coffee cart after a UPS delivery guy pointed me towards a UPS store (he couldn't take my package; bulk building dropoff only). Felt almost surreal using actual cash and handing it to an actual human and getting a large hot, milk no sugar. I even found a rare ledge that had not been weaponized with anti-homeless spikes to sit and drink it on. Felt almost kind of normal for about five minutes.

The ONE time that I left something in a cab, it was ONE glove that dropped off when I went to pay the guy and I didn't notice it drop back onto the seat when I closed the door. It was about 5 AM. Next morning I called the TLC (I got my paper receipt) and lo and behold--the guy had gone home after dropping me off. He lived only a few blocks from me and later that day he actually stopped by and gave me my glove back at the start of his shift! I tipped him again.

	♥ 1:27pm tim from washington: I was just looking at the Connells discography. They had an amazingly long run with TVT Records. That's quite remarkable for a band to stay on a big label without having Top 40 success.
	♥ 1:30pm Handy Haversack: Also grateful for the timing as I have a meeting at 2 PM. efd thinks of everything! They were pretty big among my friends in HS, and they definitely got radio play in Atlanta, but mainly on the (excellent) college stations. I once went to an outdoor show in Macon that featured the Producers, the Connells, and Drivin' N' Cryin'! That was pretty great.

	♥ 1:47pm Glistener MW: I heard a great story once from a venue-working friend about a time that Morrissey had a hissy fit before a gig and went out back for a quick smoke, found out he was locked-out, and tried going around to the venue's front doors -- and the door staff thought he was a Morrissey impersonator making-up this story to try and get into the show for free

I even went on roadtrip with them (and my friend Jason, who was their TVT rep) to play a brewery in Long Island. One of the sweetest bunch of guys I've ever met in 25+ years of doing this job.

Felt almost surreal using actual cash and handing it to an actual human and getting a large hot, milk no sugar. I even found a rare ledge that had not been weaponized with anti-homeless spikes to sit and drink it on. Felt almost kind of normal for about five minutes.

Next morning I called the TLC (I got my paper receipt) and lo and behold--the guy had gone home after dropping me off. They were pretty big among my friends in HS, and they definitely got radio play in Atlanta, but mainly on the (excellent) college stations.
