Unfortunately this was the last listenable Rats album. Peppi became a more "sensitive" songwriter after FRTR.

all pretty good!
  10:22pm
JakeGould:

@tonyb: Drinking age was 18 before 1982. Then became 19 in 1982. And then in 1985 it became 21. Then Giuliani discovered the whole cabaret law nonsense and became a jerk about it. Good details here. gawker.com...

Also, I turned 17 in 1985 so I get to hear all this great music and heard about all these great bars and clubs and then… Bam… It’s all fading before my eyes.
  10:22pm
Todd:

I saw Twisted Sister open for the Ramones at Hammerheads in the 70s

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm
efd:

Todd, what's the clue?
  10:39pm
JakeGould:

@tonyb: It’s also why there are no cool cafes anymore. Bleecker Street was filled with them even in the early 1980s. Then it became just cover bands and NYU blues bros. Now it’s nothing.

Todd:

___ Snyder (Dee in the grid)

Red Fox Inn 5 miles South of Route 18/Route 27 intersection on your left in North Brunswick. Probably the first club booking punk in Jersey? Ramones, Dictators, Harlow, Steel Tips, the Rozz, the Swingers, who else?? Remember smaller downstairs stage with the Dark Side Of The Moon streaks on all the walls. There was like 5 rooms bands could play.

Zaffy's was in Piscataway, originally it was on Stelton Rd. But later re-opened on Plainfield Ave.
  2:03am
Kristophaaa:

Royal Manor was also in North Brunswick. my friend's uncle managed the restaurant side of the place and booked some bands there. He claims he was the guy who got Metallica and Motörhead there, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Later on I recall it becoming the Metro Club. It was located off the Livingston Ave exit off Route 1 in North Brunswick.
  9:44am
kristophaaa:

The building that was the Red Fox is still up!
