Listener comments!

Swag For Life Member 9:07pm Julie M:

If you ask me, there's a reason it always starts with the seventies...
  9:09pm JakeGould:

It’s sinful.
  9:14pm JakeGould:

This is too rock and roll crazy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm Alex of Chicago:

  9:18pm dano59:

There has to be a reason? That was the era in which I was mostly raised on radio, but I still relate more to the cultural explosion of the '60s.
  9:22pm JakeGould:

I for one mainly see the 1980s as an amazing era because that is when I was a teenager.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm listener 126464:

i'll drink to that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm fleep:

Western Civilization peaked in 1969. But the end times can be kicky.
  9:26pm JakeGould:

Love beach!
  9:27pm ?:

Love Beach - I've seen the cover so many times but never heard the song.
  9:27pm dano59:

That's how it works Jake ... I kind of devote all my own explorations to the 60s but! Thx to folks like Evan I get to discover things my AM Top 40
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm medson:

It does look like a Bee Gees album cover
Avatar 9:32pm Mailman Tom:

That's funny, Evan.
  9:37pm Stevel:

So, were they goofing with that cover, didn't care or had too much cocaine?

My phone won't auto fill "cocaine". Jesus.
  9:40pm Stevel:

I grew up on top 40 and am rock from 1970 through 75. Top 40 was a relatively broad category. Alice Cooper was my real rock and roll entry drug. School's Out, in fifth grade.
  9:41pm JakeGould:

“Love Beach” gear: http2.mlstatic.com...

And here: screen13cutoutmusicmania.files.wordpress.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm efd:

your phone is so straight-edge! He didn't really elaborate on the cover, my guess it was mainly the latter two of your three possibilities.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm medson:

@efd how may people came out to that show. great story btw.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43pm Kat in Chicago:

Rats, sounds like I missed Carl Palmer chat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43pm efd:

i think capacity of the auditorium is 400-450 and it was pretty full but not sold out as far as I could tell.
Avatar 9:43pm DC:

Sounding great, enjoyied the whips. Some nice guitarwork, and some subtle creative chordsmanship with the 1 6m 4 3
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm efd:

thanks DC, I'll take your word for it on those chord changes! :D

Kat, you did indeed! The archive will fill you in later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm Kat in Chicago:

It'll have to. I don't even remember what "Love Beach" sounds like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm efd:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Mister Dobalina:

Some great spinnin' efd, as usual.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm medson:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03pm efd:

Avatar 10:03pm John from Madison:

  10:11pm dano59:

  10:13pm dano59:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14pm melinda:
