	♥ 9:20pm McGroovey: This Tubes has less Fee Waybill than their big hits, more Vince Welnick, I guess. It fits with the Utopia album of the same year, and in fact they toured together. And this is the sound of the late '80s/early '90s Todd solo albums. The best songs on the Utopia record are probably better than the best songs the Tubes album, but the worst songs on the Tubes album are probably better than the worst songs on the Utopia album. I'm thinking too hard.
	9:21pm ledzeppelinsucks: The Tubes were the first band to play live at the brand new Tacoma Dome August 1983. I saw them. Then came David Bowie.
	9:21pm Sam Pocker: Jack, the Go-Go's doc I felt was more about the label paying for a commercial to generate catalog sales (which worked). They skipped over a lot of pivotal moments in that one. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it didn't seem as if it was trying to tell the story as much as it was just trying to get a new audience interested in the band.

	♥ 9:26pm McGroovey: Both "Love Bomb" and "POV" (the Utopia album) totally bombed. Both bands basically broke up as a results, though of course the Tubes later got back together. A cover of one song "Mated" from POV was a big hit somewhere international a year or two later.

	♥ 9:30pm McGroovey: Piece By Piece and Feel It totally feel like '80s Todd songs. He had a big hand in most of the songs. The band was bickering, and arrived at the sessions with only a few half-written songs, and he had to fix it.

	♥ 9:31pm Handy Haversack: I'm still just trying to get in a stable enough place to not cry all the way through the MacGowan documentary. The Zappa one tore me up. Maybe the Bee Gees one would be a good, neutral-space reentry.

I've recently been rediscovering "The Runt"'s solo work, the Utopia discog, and his production work with other acts like The Tubes. As a matter of fact, I saw Utopia and The Tubes perform at The Capitol Theater in Passaic back in 1986. (Still have the original ticket stub to prove it! 😎)

I've never been a particularly big Pouges fan and by the end of it I was left to feel like he was just kind of a drug addict who got lucky.

It's a bit complicated, but basically I have a new iPhone 12 and because T-Mobile screwed up my order. They made me get another iPhone 12. I have to set up the 2nd and send the first new iPhone 12 back. It hasn't been working at all. Nothing wants to set up the second new iPhone 12 and as a result of fooling around with it. It erased. All. My saved shows in the W FM U app. I had shows saved on this phone from 2014 to the present. I had shows on this phone that don't exist anymore. I mean, they're in the archives, but I can't get them on the phone. It's really depressing and upsetting me. I don't know why it's happening and so I tried to save a couple of new shows. Like some shows from Shrunken Planet. And. When I went back to the app later, they weren't there, even though I downloaded them for later playing. Anyone know who I should contact about this? It's bumming me out.

UV-TV formed in Gainesville, Florida, in the mid-2010s, but by the turn of the decade they’d relocated to New York City. Their first release after moving to NYC, 2021’s Always Something, was one of EFD’s favorites of that year; they’ll play some songs from that album as well as some new songs from an upcoming release. Tune in for some post-punk jangle-drone!

The Prof. Fuzz 63 are a three-piece family band from just north of Dallas. They’re also literally a garage band. Their garage/practice space is adorned with photos of The Cramps, among others, and singer uses an old telephone handset for a mic. What else do you need to know? OK, they’re also playing May 22 at Berlin in NYC and May 23 at Finnegan’s in Hoboken.

	♥ 9:20pm McGroovey: This Tubes has less Fee Waybill than their big hits, more Vince Welnick, I guess. It fits with the Utopia album of the same year, and in fact they toured together. And this is the sound of the late '80s/early '90s Todd solo albums. The best songs on the Utopia record are probably better than the best songs the Tubes album, but the worst songs on the Tubes album are probably better than the worst songs on the Utopia album. I'm thinking too hard.

	9:21pm Sam Pocker: Jack, the Go-Go's doc I felt was more about the label paying for a commercial to generate catalog sales (which worked). They skipped over a lot of pivotal moments in that one. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it didn't seem as if it was trying to tell the story as much as it was just trying to get a new audience interested in the band.

I've recently been rediscovering "The Runt"'s solo work, the Utopia discog, and his production work with other acts like The Tubes. As a matter of fact, I saw Utopia and The Tubes perform at The Capitol Theater in Passaic back in 1986. (Still have the original ticket stub to prove it! 😎)

It's a bit complicated, but basically I have a new iPhone 12 and because T-Mobile screwed up my order. They made me get another iPhone 12. I have to set up the 2nd and send the first new iPhone 12 back. It hasn't been working at all. Nothing wants to set up the second new iPhone 12 and as a result of fooling around with it. It erased. All. My saved shows in the W FM U app. I had shows saved on this phone from 2014 to the present. I had shows on this phone that don't exist anymore. I mean, they're in the archives, but I can't get them on the phone. It's really depressing and upsetting me. I don't know why it's happening and so I tried to save a couple of new shows. Like some shows from Shrunken Planet. And. When I went back to the app later, they weren't there, even though I downloaded them for later playing. Anyone know who I should contact about this? It's bumming me out.
