Awesome show. Play some more DIY pop. YEAH MAN!

Heldon forever! Woo hoo Supermayer.

I am guessing the Da! track is not about the fast food chain.

Sat. 8/23/08 11:02pm From: mike g.

don't think so either, but i'd love some postpunk/diy songs about fast food chains. surely both white castle & in n out are worthy of such tribute.

Sat. 8/23/08 11:16pm From: H.

I've never actually been to White Castle. Fast food doesn't do it for me since I was 12. If I am on Newark Ave. in JC then I walk right past the White Castle in favor of dosas and other mouthwatering Indian food.

Sat. 8/23/08 11:39pm From: David from ks

i love Indian food, whatare dosas?

Sat. 8/23/08 11:44pm From: mike g.

dosas are delicious ice/lentil crepes, often served with cilantro chutney, and usually filled with spiced potatoes and various other vegetables/meats. Jersey City, particularly the journal square area has a fine selection of dosa restaurants - mostly vegetarian.

however, North Brooklyn's White Castle is a cultural center - particularly in the wee hours of the weekend mornings.

Sat. 8/23/08 11:52pm From: Mortimer Prime

I know MIK, and you got her band name wrong, unless she suddenly changed it. It's Magic Is Kuntmaster... Magic Magic Magic!!!! (Unless it's actually Musik as of press time...)

Sat. 8/23/08 11:58pm From: H.

Also, dosas are South Indian/Tamil, so you don't see them so much in Indian restaurants in most of the U.S. (most of those are North Indian/Punjabi). Dosas can be really bland though, if you don't get a good one. Fortunately Jersey City has some good spicy ones.

Sometimes they're huge:

Never expected to find a discussion of DOSAS here. Ann Arbor /Ypsi is a good DOSA spot when in MI. Hey and thx to M. Goodstein for the otw playlist.

Anyone got or know where I could get Tasty Tim - Sugar Sugar on MP3? I can only find it on vinyl :( I NEED to get hold of a copy! Any suggestions gratefully received!
