Mortimer Prime:
I am Dutch. I am in Chicago. I love that Sufjan Stevens song. I am going to see The Ex in Chicago tonight. For me, this was a serendipitous one-two punch. Many thanks, Señor Boda. Oh, btw... GODSPEED YOU! BLACK PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Dan B:
Mortimer, let us be humbled by awesome serendipity -- thanks for listening! My 4-year-old son has been obsessed with the Sufjan song for the last few days, standing right in front of the speakers and singing along.

laskitude:
but the 'poetry' by Mr Coley is far, far from good; as a fan of his rockwrite i am dismayed to hear him mouthing off so crudely about George W Bush, especially under the hood of 'poetry'.. shame!
|
Thu. 10/2/08 2:27am
Dan B:
I disagree laskitude -- all of Coley's writing is crude and loud, which is great for blowing minds re: music but not necessarily the best thing for political poetry. It's imperfect, but he's in the right direction using surprising images to make his points.
