You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

  Sun. 8/10/08 8:02am Bob:

Great show, loving these recordings! This Calexico song is called "Stray". It's from their Black Light album. Full setlist for this WFMU recording was: (Intro) : Stinging Nettle : Over Your Shoulder : The Ride, Part II : (Interruption) : Stray : Gilbert : (JB Interview) : Minas de Cobre
  Sun. 8/10/08 8:10am D. Blumin:

Stork, you guys sound great - I'm gonna take off now. Get some schlafen.
Beautiful sessions... Jesse deserves super credit fer that mammoth Magnetic Fields session. Hope to see you soon! All Hail the Stork Club!
Sun. 8/10/08 8:12am Vicki - DO or DIY:

hello! People Like Us & Matt wand did our first session on fmu in 2000, was my first visit to the studio - thanks for that Stork and Brian...
Sun. 8/10/08 8:42am Vicki - DO or DIY:

it was our first collaboration - apart from a rather chaotic thing we'd done the night before at Brooklyn Experimental Music Fest... Stork, I should imagine Brian or Liz have those files, would be great for fmu to air it...

Re: The Kropotkins

Vocalist sounds to me to be like PJ Harvey.

Violinist Charlie Burnham (I presume the same guy) has a long history playing with James "Blood" Ulmer (see "Odyssey"), including Ulmer's great recent blues albums.
