Personal statement: |
Dan Bodah has been a WFMU volunteer staffer and DJ since 2000. Dan's show, Airborne Event, is a freeform music-focused program leaning toward the introspective, avant garde, folky, ambient, international and obscure parts of the music spectrum, but it also includes plenty of banjos, pop hits played backwards and self-indulgent excursions into the Yes ouvre. Plus, lots and lots of live musical guests. Before coming to WFMU, Dan had shows at WMUA (UMass Amherst, 1997-2000) and WOBC (Oberlin College, 1994-1996.) He has extremely fond memories of listening to and taping David Wisdom's CBC show Night Lines, Brent Bambridge's CBC show Brave New Waves, and CHOM-FM's New Music Foundation in the early 1990s (all out of Montreal). |
