You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

Avatar 9:07pm doca:

Hi, Dan B., it's a pleasure to hear your show again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Gosh, this opening track has a lot of notes and a lot of layers to it. Pretty cool selection.
  9:11pm P-90:

Hi, DJ Dan, always a pleasure.
Welcome to my Friday Nightmare.
  9:17pm andujar:

Avatar 9:18pm Dan Bodah:

Hey all - welcome -- we'll hear from Cris Kirkwood in about 5 mins or so...
  9:18pm jon:

omg solid! hope youll do a weekly show again dan b. miss this
Avatar 9:19pm Dan Bodah:

@andujar, greetings! @jon, thanks man -- tell Ken Freedman!! But after the marathon maybe, he's a little busy for the next month.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm common:

this is quite nice for a cold friday eve. thank you dan. hello!
Avatar 9:24pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  9:25pm JakeGould:

Whoa… No Martha but Dan. Hello!
Avatar 9:36pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Who has carrot cake?
  9:36pm jon:

ken freedman get rid of the hipsters laughing at themselves shows and make room for dan bodah and his music
Avatar 9:41pm glenn:

i just had some roasted carrots. is that close enough?
Avatar 9:44pm Dan Bodah:

I'm a roasted parsnip fan, personally
Avatar 9:45pm Dan Bodah:

Here's where Cris Kirkwood talks about the influence of Boyd Rice on the Meat Puppets
Avatar 9:48pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Roasted carrots = bonus points.
I have yet to meet a parsnip in person.
Clearly there is work to do, there.
Avatar 9:49pm glenn:

i like parsnips too. not so easy to find in your basic grocery store, though.
  9:53pm Richard from Venezuela:

Nice surprise. Amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm common:

like the bleeping. this was great and tape manipulation!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm coelacanth:

olá Dan and airborne, Cris Kirkwood
  10:03pm JakeGould:

Roasted parsnips are great. I like to roast them with turnips and daikon radishes. Simple and very rich. I sound like a snoot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm coelacanth:

crap,i missed most of the interview.
Avatar 10:05pm Dan Bodah:

@coelacanth, it'll be archived in a few hours -- I will tweet & FB the link
Avatar 10:06pm Dan Bodah:

I've never had roasted daikon...are they good roasted? I love them cold and grated. There's a Tibetan Sherpa place in my neighborhood that makes a radish salad that's cold grated curried daikons -- it's to die for.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm coelacanth:

Thanks Dan! i don't tweet or fb,but this show will be archived here,no?
  10:07pm Lisa Stark:

Too High To Die was like the most popular album on my college radio station when it came out. Cris is so cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm common:

thanks dan. makes me want my 4 track back soooo much
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm coelacanth:

talking vegetables!
...cold & grated, yes; but my favorite use for daikon is pickled. (oshinko)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm common:

meat puppets II for me
Avatar 10:12pm Dan Bodah:

@coelacanth, of course
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm coelacanth:

yup. II is the shit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm coelacanth:

the first album (ep?...it's pretty short) is excellent too.
  10:14pm JakeGould:

@Dan: I’ve had Daikon cold, but roasted is pretty good. I’m no chef but if you know how to roast something it comes out well. I first had it roasted at a Asian food place in Madison, Wisconsin of all places. They have a strong Hmong population in that town and the food was amazing. That and a Vietnamese food cart 15 years ago… Amazing stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm coelacanth:

that track was also really good.

no pussyfooting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm common:

agreed, coelacanth
  10:22pm jon:

thanks dan. never heard this album. so good
  10:24pm Marc:

This is beautiful
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm Ike:

Hello! Wow, these are some HOT ROCKING JAMS! Love it.
  10:39pm JakeGould:

Ike, how do you feel about carrots and/or parsnips?
  10:39pm Meli:

Turned the radio on as I went to the store and heard your voice, Dan! It was a happy surprise! <3 you.
  10:40pm Marjorie Courtenay-Latimer:

Basaltic Magma.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm Ike:

I like roasted parsnips. But in moderation. They need a fair level of seasoning. I like how they look like albino carrots.
  10:44pm Meli:

AHA! OLLA remix! love it.
Avatar 10:48pm Dan Bodah:

@Meli, hi! xoxo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm common:

i star this whole show, dan. fantastic!
Avatar 10:54pm Dan Bodah:

Ah man, this piece is vicious
Avatar 10:55pm Dan Bodah:

It hit me with a flower -- it did it every hour!
  11:02pm JakeGould:

That flower/hour Reed lyric is ridiculous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08pm Santos L Halper:

Aargh, forgot about Cris K.
Archive ho! Looks like plenty of other goodies to boot.
Avatar 11:13pm Dan Bodah:

Here's a great review of this new Richard Dawson record: thequietus.com... -- it's worth looking up the lyrics for this one given his heavy accent (to American ears)
  11:15pm Marjorie Courtenay-Latimer:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm coelacanth:

Damn this is good!
Avatar 11:39pm Charles M.:

It's a pleasure to hear you tonight Dan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yark...three hours went quickly. Take care, until next time, Dan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am coelacanth:

Thank you Dan
ciao people
