Daybreak & The Good Day:

I’ve been monitoring the night sky cloud predictions from yesterday on here in Boonton, NJ in order to see the Perseid Meteor Shower.

Tonight was supposed to be the clearest, but is clouding up, BUT…
the better news is that the less cloudy nights are headed toward the Tuesday night Wednesday night peak.

@Ken from HP, I’d be nervous to be in the space station during the shower. While most of the meteors are dust particles no bigger than a grain of sand, floating in a tin can in space being pelted by objects of any size would make me nervous

Reno D:

Joe, I have at least one of them as mp3.

Shriekback lyric taken from the Zen idea that if one meets the reincarnated Buddha on the the road one should kill him. Kill your idols ? Don’t look for answers from others ? Look within ? Lots of under appreciated later stuff including a solo piano record. Saw them do that song at the Webster/ritz in 87 (?)
Introduced as “the worlds first Zen pop song” better ask Donovan Barry. Great show as always. You make Monday’s memorable ☯️🔫🎼

I met a well fed Tibetan monk travelling in a massive brand new landrover while hiking in the Sikkim, Far Northern India. They stopped to ask to take a picture with me = he and his driver... It started pouring rain and they made a dash for the car. I asked if they could give me a ride to town - roughly 20 miles. He said "NO ROOM" and they split. I finally got a lift from a guy delivering blood samples to the hospital. I had to hide in the back seat since he said he said giving rides were forbidden. When we got to town I offered him $5.00 and he refused to take it !!!

Here in Rockville, the pastor in residence at my church also serves the the hospital and the assisted living community, and he’s pretty much on call 24/7 for last rites and anything else. His cell phone has gone off during mass when he was the celebrant a couple of times. He’s got a great dry Irish wit and simply reached under his robe pulled out the cell phone and silenced it and cracked a joke in his brogue. I guess that’s the times we live in
