Hey, everybody! The marathon continues and today is my very last chance to help the station meet its fundraising goal. As far as this show goes, it's been awfully quiet on the pledge front -- so do please consider pitching in if you can. Thanks!!!

Meanwhile, BIG THANKS to Yvang for his super-generous pledge. YAY!!!!

just pledged Tony. The last time I recall you doing some of these Sensationnel comps (2018 some time), I told a friend about it who dutifully then digitized all the ones he had and sent them to me. Lucky me.

Thanks so much, Mark!! Much appreciated!

Mark Williams:

Like many shows on WFMU, this show you do Tony is a one-of-a-kind. That it resonates with me particularly relates to a complicated formula inside of me that no doubt you share to a large degree. Your show essentially reminds me of the feeling and impact that off-the-beaten-track radio had on me when I first encountered it. It goes beyond "radio" as such, of course, and for me is fully political, human, universal. That you are a wonderful host in the middle of it all, with your own characteristic style, is to be endlessly celebrated. Thank you also to Doug for continuing this parallel WFMU channel, and to WFMU for allowing its outposts to carry on broadcasting.

Thanks so much for those words, Mark! I am humbled....

Any last-minute Toobin-esque tips, as I attempt to join a work Zoom mtg while keeping Tony C going gently in the background?
Avatar 12:58pm
Tony Coulter:

Maybe keep your speakers in your pants?

Toobin-esque? Um... don't eat any sausages or frankfurters during the meeting, lest they be mistaken for something else?
  1:05pm

is this where a "sub-woofer" becomes a double-entendre (with extra meaning)?

hi Tony!
hi all!
Avatar 1:44pm

@ Mark: I think you have to contact them first. I got these comps from them via a discogs page (www.discogs.com... ), but I don't know if you can still do that -- I don't see them listed.

Hey gang. Three things.

(1) Tony's wonderful program is a measly $129 away from hitting the goal. Pitch in and make a nice donation to WFMU and help Tony to bask in the molten heat of your thanks and appreciation!

PLEDGE HERE: pledge.wfmu.org...

(2) Julie is under the weather today and won't be doing a new show coming up in 40 minutes. She will be running a special program from 2018 and she will hang out with you in the comments while the archive is airing.

(3) Refer to thing #1!

And a goddamn shower pan is one that requires hiring a contractor to redo the tiles above the pan, because the waterproofing is substandard.
