Jeffrey Davison:

I saw a concert in June 2013, at the Noguchi Museum in Astoria, with Anton Batagov and Yungchen Lhamo. I came away disappointed, but I can't recall exactly why. It wasn't a complete disappointment, but the setup at the museum wasn't great. Concert was in the garden, no seating so the lucky ones (like me) sitting for a long time on a stone wall. Many had to sit on the ground, and it was a hot day also with less shade out there than was needed. That didn't help.

Okay I really liked the Eureka piano piece from 2009, but I could not help notice it bore a striking resemblance to an odd source: Roxy Music's 2HB off their first album. Play it sometime and you might see what I mean-- the Eureka really does sound like theme and variations off that sweet little ditty about Humphrey Bogart.
Not speaking here against the Eureka-- not one bit. There are a lot of good ideas in the universe.

Toothgrinder Tom: I'll be durned if I know, but last year I had a table at a record fair in Queens, and the dealer next to me was very up on 5G, and was letting me know in detail how it was going to be used for surveillance. Sounded scary but I have no idea how much was true and how much was sourced reliably. As we now know, our privacy has been severely compromised, and not sure we can get the genie back in the bottle. However, the virus and 5G, come on now, people, use at least some of your sense!
