Personal statement:

I make cartoons and comics and write. I teach. I used to play trumpet. My latest book, a comics biography of Hannah Arendt is "The Three Escapes of Hannah Arendt -- A Tyranny of Truth." My next one, another non-fiction graphics narrative, "When I Grow Up -- The Lost Autobiographies of pre-WWII teens" comes out May 2021.
