Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:01pm weinstein:

It's all safe after this, James (if you believe....)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:02pm Stanley:

Not safe. It's a mutated form of those Mouse Boys!
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:02pm weinstein:

Welcome, Fred. Here we go!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:03pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:08pm steveo:

greetings!
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:09pm weinstein:

@Stanley, I'm thinking the Furby may indeed be a form of mouse, now that you mention it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:10pm fred:

Are Talk Normal still active? I liked them, even saw them once
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:11pm weinstein:

From what I understand, Talk Normal is not active.
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:13pm weinstein:

Hey Steveo! What concerts should we tell folks about this week?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:17pm Sem:

Good afternoon, David, Ruth, Ridgewood-ers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:18pm steveo:

depends which ones there are!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:20pm Webhamster Henry:

Sprint bought Electronics Hut and they went out of business. I used to get my Unrealistic radios and tape recorders from them.
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:22pm weinstein:

Welcome Sem and Henry! Did Sprint kill the Hut or did they just do a Radio Shak?
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:24pm weinstein:

If you like the multimedia noise scene, tonight is David Linton's birthday bash at H0L0.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:36pm fred:

Nice set, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:38pm listener james from westwood:

I'd not heard of Gold Dime but I'm glad to have learned of them and to have heard Ambro's wild pipes!
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:42pm weinstein:

I think this is a very solid band and Ambro works incredibly hard, plus the performance is compelling to watch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:43pm northguineahills:

Min Xiao Fen did an excellent album w/ Derek Bailey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:44pm fred:

I'd love to see Min Xiao Fen someday
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 3:46pm weinstein:

Min Xiao Fen did a music to the silent Chinese classic film, The Goddess last Sunday at Roulette. I bet she tours it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:48pm Webhamster Henry:

I like this one, it's very busy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:56pm melinda:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 3:58pm Webhamster Henry:

My friend Kevin Hobby has a completely different thing called a hyperpiano.
I made a sample instrument out of it.

Oh, that will take my full attention.... after the show....
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:08pm Webhamster Henry:

There are a bunch of compositions done with it for a presentation last year. I actually turned myself into Gregorian chanting choir, singing that theme.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:17pm steveo:

electric trombone = yes please
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 4:20pm weinstein:

Ah yes, Dino was the master. And then he gave it up for his newly beloved lap steel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:23pm northguineahills:

Lea Bertrucci got a full page review in the latest Wire! (enthusiastically happy to see a friend of mine get noticed).
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:26pm fred:

@ngh: Wow! I saw her twice and loved both (very different) sets
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 4:27pm weinstein:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:35pm northguineahills:

Not Familiar w J.A. Deane.
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 4:36pm weinstein:

Thanks, Fred. It's nearly 58 minutes and I tried to excerpt it but just got seduced by its progression.
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 4:37pm weinstein:

Look for J.A. Deane on Butch Morris albums and Jon Hassell stuff from the 80s-90s. He's also on the original Zorn Cobra double CD.
Avatar    Wed. 2/21/18 4:40pm geezerette:

"Seduced by progression." A perfume, or a band name...?
Avatar Wed. 2/21/18 4:42pm weinstein:

Maybe a short story title? Though I do love the idea of "Progression by Dior".
Avatar    Wed. 2/21/18 4:43pm geezerette:

Ha! Exactly!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:45pm steveo:

"j'aime cet set"
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:45pm fred:

Dior? I'm a Chanel guy
Avatar    Wed. 2/21/18 4:45pm geezerette:

There was a scent called Samsara! Couldn't believe that! Remember window displays driving past Saks.
Avatar    Wed. 2/21/18 4:47pm geezerette:

Hey, Fred! Steveo! Melinda! Everybody! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 2/21/18 4:48pm doctorjazz:
