Ridgewood Radio features live sets by adventurous bands and experimental musicians, recorded at clubs and galleries running along the L-train corridor through Brooklyn and Queens from Williamsburg to the Rockaways. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the blossoming Ridgewood neighborhood, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

I've squirmed beneath the barbed wire to see how things are over in this pasture.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 3:16pm fred:

I saw G Lucas Crane play once, his Nonhorse project. I remember briefly talking with him after he noticed my WFMU T-shirt
Avatar Wed. 2/7/18 3:17pm weinstein:

Lucas enjoyed the "squirm" image, and @Fred I told him it was likely in Europe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 3:20pm fred:

It was at Instants Chavirés in Montreuil, near Paris
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 3:20pm doctorjazz:

Avatar Wed. 2/7/18 3:34pm david w:

OK b/p we are googlizing that one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 3:34pm northguineahills:

It's Lucas! Hadn't heard him play outside of Woods in a while.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 3:36pm northguineahills:

(or as nonhorse, which would be perfect for Sam Segal's show).
Avatar Wed. 2/7/18 3:39pm david w:

Lucas lost his horse years ago

Hello, DW, those open-eared to Ridgewood Radio, and those happen-stanced to be here.

Hi David and Ridgewooders - I was on the phone, now can listen!

Hello Sem and Henry, we are practicing anti-brainwashing exercises today, like always.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 4:01pm fred:

This is great! (I'm clicky-starring the whole show)
I hope Lucas will come to Paris or nearby in the near future
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 4:01pm northguineahills:

Clocktower Gallery Recs, not to be confused w/ the reggae label Clocktower Recs.
Avatar Wed. 2/7/18 4:15pm david w:

Thanks, Fred!!! I thought you might have strong feelings about this one. Thanks, NGH. Clocktower Gallery never had a real label at a all, though it published books, and radio, and web stuff and recordings and films etc etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 4:26pm northguineahills:

I've only been to the Clocktower Gallery once that I remember, and that was for my friend's dog's gallery opening (don't ask).

I remember when Lucas was at Ft Awesome (in the East Williamsburg Industrial Park) until the sewage line broke and forced it to be condemned. Wow that was at 13 years ago.
Avatar Wed. 2/7/18 4:26pm david w:

@Fred, Lucas says he is deep in some projects in Brooklyn for the near future (including where to live) so no big travel soon.

Instants Chavirés is still around, and hopefully will be for a while (though when I posted a glowing review for my trusted cobbler, he closed within the month)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 4:47pm Rich in Washington:

That was fantastic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 2/7/18 4:48pm Sem:

Mind blown, folded, and put away soaked in sweat and delight. Thanks!
