Good morning Michael and fellow listeners!
  Sat. 4/5/14 11:12am Nancy:

fyi... it's Win-oo-ski; a native american word for Onion! :) I had no idea Laura Cantrell was going to be in VT. so cool.
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 11:14am duke:

My cousin gave me a Chipmunks record when I was a kid. This tune was the flip side.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 11:50am Whooda:

Just tuned in into Papa's Got a Brand New Bag. How cool is THAT!
  Sat. 4/5/14 11:53am Marc:

Delayed post:
Michael, Laura Cantrell is such a class act and has a sweet voice. I miss her WFMU show, "Radio Thrift Shop."
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 11:54am Parq:

Michael, were you in Paramus Park? My mom was a charter employee of the A&S that used to be at the other end of the mall from the Sears. Worked there from the day the place opened until her retirement. Yes, in those days, dept. stores gave their employees retirement benefits.
  Sat. 4/5/14 11:56am ListenerJohn:

So funny you should say that. Back in 1997 I was shopping for a TV in Sears.
I saw Junior Brown for the first time on all the sets and was blown away.

Willowbrook Mall - I did get a pair of $125 shoes for $20 - but they dont make me look like adult
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 12:11pm Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

My pet peeve, that relates to your comment before, is I dislike it when people try to be diplomatic and say "There's no such thing as bad taste in music." There are really awful bands out there that proves them wrong.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 12:15pm Michael Shelley:

Agree
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 12:18pm Parq:

Just clicky-starred that Teen Fanclub track.
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 12:18pm Parq:

I should add that I am not fond of the verb "clicky-star", but my fellow commenters have spoken.
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 12:19pm Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

I got 4/5 for the drum fill quiz.
  Sat. 4/5/14 12:31pm ?:

Great stuff this morning. Sundown is excellent!
  Sat. 4/5/14 12:31pm az dave:

Just Googled it and was surprised to learn that 'Always Something There To Remind Me' was never a number one hit (until it made your playlist, of course). Not even Top Twenty. Seems like every time I turned the car radio on in the late 60's (no car FM in those days), Dionne W's version was playing.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 12:33pm Michael Shelley:

I think it was top ten for Naked Eyes
  Sat. 4/5/14 12:50pm Tommy:

Regarding giving all the kids trophies : Why don't we just give them all and A for their classroom work no matter how they do..I think the real problem is sports . Just get it out of school....and great show as usual
Avatar    Sat. 4/5/14 12:55pm duke:

David Cassidy got arrested in my area www.newsday.com...
