I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Wow, Palladam S. Venkataramana Rao is an awesome mouthful of a name. I dig it.
Avatar Fri. 12/20/13 12:32pm Zach:

I wish there were a way I could stream only your shows all the time because there is nothing better to code to in the entire world.
Avatar Fri. 12/20/13 12:33pm andymorphic:

Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 12:36pm Ike:

Zack, I am not a coder but I imagine Dan Bodah's Airborne Event must also be excellent to code to, so check out those archives as well. Also, Nick Name was smoothly excreting some fine musical shazz last night on his new show.

So far as I know no one you play has died today! Yay!

Lovely gear change with this Sejayno after such a contemplative start. Yum, tum, yum.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 12:44pm Droll:

[eyes darting back and forth from Bryce's show to the Current State of Software]
Oooooohhh!!!!! Now software makes sense! Or rather, why software is like it is makes more sense!

Indeed, Bryce's show and software are "Not Fit For Any Particular Purpose", as the EULA says.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 12:57pm Ike:

Ha, Droll, I was proofing a EULA recently. "You understand and agree that by using [Evil PUP Software] you may be exposed to [third-party content] that may be offensive, indecent, objectionable, defamatory, libelous, false, misleading, inaccurate, infringing of other parties' proprietary rights or in violation of law." What about causing greasy boils or breaking down barriers to dimensions controlled by monstrous demon squids? (Or my boss, same thing.) They left that out.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:00pm Droll:

Offensive, indecent, objectionable, defamatory, libelous, false, misleading, inaccurate, infringing of other parties' proprietary rights?!?! LINK! I NEED THE LINK!
Avatar Fri. 12/20/13 1:02pm Zach:

will be sure to give Airborne Event a thorough re-valuation.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:12pm steve:

Avatar Fri. 12/20/13 1:17pm George from Romania:

yo' is Christmas already over there?:) hey lovely people!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:19pm Carmichael:

Do you mean Dokaka, Steve?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:19pm Ike:

Droll: www.nofactzone.net...
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:20pm steve:

oops, yes Carm
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:21pm Ike:

J/k, that's not it. You don't want to go to the actual link. The EULA is mostly talking about ads. False, misleading, libelous, inaccurate ads.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:22pm fleep:

Are there any other kind?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:32pm Droll:

fleep, Yes, there are the non-sequitur ads which show a bunch of unrelated scenes followed by the name of the product (soap or garbage bags or whatever). Not even "Ask your doctor is Damnitol is right for you."
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:34pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Just back. Consider this a belated and completely redundant PLUS ONE endorsement for the Not Available album.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:35pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

What manner of modular synthi glorious apeshit is this? And does it come in XXXXXXL? New to Leprechaun Catering.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:37pm Bryce:

ah! it's jason willett & tom boram.

one of my all all all-time favorite dance bands
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:38pm cklequ:

I love this Leprechaun Catering stuff.

So much that i just ordered the record.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:39pm common:

ah, very good, rev. i'm in.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:40pm cklequ:

And yeah, i'll jump in late too...
Not Available is probably my favorite of theirs.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:41pm Richard Nixon:

This song reminds me that I need to get on my roof and adjust my satellite dish
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:41pm Chris from DC:

RTD, you may have seen Tom Boram's modular setup already? Very cool.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

AH, Tom Boram is involved, i can hear that now. He did a solo set here last year and 'twas tweaky fabulous.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

aye, chris -- he was definitely of the "active" school of modular performers, vs. the "set it & forget it" method. Both of which I endorse, naturally.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:43pm Bryce:

hey cklequ, where did you order from? was never able to find a copy!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:46pm doca:

Great show, Bryce, I hope to see you soon on the dancefloor or behind the DJ pickups, toying with the laser harp!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:47pm steve:

Leprechaun Catering made me think of Snacks... turns out TB was in Snacks also!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:47pm cklequ:

I just found a copy for $5 at discogs.
A few more still there:

www.discogs.com...
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:53pm Bryce:

ah shit, that's great! never actually bought anything off discogs before
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:54pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Likewise, Bryce. I haven't started buying through discogs yet. I fear a terribly slippery slope towards Total Junkie Overload, if I ever break the ice on that one.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:55pm tim from champaign:

Has anyone sold anything on discogs?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:55pm cklequ:

All my discogs transactions have been painless so far.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 1:56pm steve:

tim - yes, i just returned from the post office shipping out a discogs order
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:01pm tim from champaign:

How have your experiences been, cklequ and steve? I keep my collection on discogs and have noticed I've got some records that I could part with based on the average selling price. Just curious if it's worth it to try. I'm not a big fan of wheeling and dealing on ebayz.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:03pm cklequ:

I've never sold ... just had good experiences as a buyer.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:05pm steve:

i just started selling a few months ago (got a new turntable setup and figured i could break even selling dupicates and rare stuff i don't need). experience has been positive though the fees between discogs and paypal are a bit much - i think amost 10% between the two of em. also the interface for selling and communicating with buyers is not designed as well as it could be, its a little confusing, but i've gotten used to it.

i've just been putting rare stuff up at $5-10 less than the current lowest price and have managed to make a handful of sales since the summer.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:10pm steve:

ive bought a lot of stuff on discogs over the years... can't think of any overwhelmingly bad experiences... ive found the people who sell on discogs have so far been more reliable than ordering directly from small labels - who have ripped me off and been shady any number of times in the past 10-15 years
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:11pm cklequ:

Your right about the interface, steve. Took me a while to get used to.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:12pm Droll:

I've been making a killing on arbitrage: reselling Steve's discounted rare stuff on eBay where there are lower overheads. I also save time because the interface is better.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:13pm tim from champaign:

That's helpful steve. Thanks! I'll probably do a closer evaluation next week on what I'm interested in parting with.

steve - do you mind sharing your discogs seller name? I'd be interested in perusing.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:15pm steve:

sure tim, just send a private message via the contact button on my profile page
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:16pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

The peer pressure is strong in here. Getting lost in a discogs fog. Credit card is trembling...
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:20pm Cecile:

Got The Fujii?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:20pm tim from champaign:

Have you bought an xmas gift for yourself yet, RTD?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:21pm Cheri Pi:

Bryce!!!!!!!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:21pm tim from champaign:

Cool, thanks steve.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:22pm Cheri Pi:

OK-I'll admit it, I just had 3 glasses of wine at our staff "appreciation" party
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:22pm tim from champaign:

Hmmmm.... Cecile and CP showing up within minutes of each other. Smoking in the boys room perhaps?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:23pm Cecile:

Sounds great, Pi.
We had christmas songs with HR themed lyrics and potluck.
Although the White Elephant gift exchanage was cool.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:23pm Cheri Pi:

Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:25pm Cheri Pi:

I won a Poinsettia [sic] and 2 festive coffee mugs. I nominated someone to win a leadership award and they won! They won cash too which I hope they'll split.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:25pm Frugal Robot Octopus Angel on Your Shoulder:

Don't give in, RTD! Hoard your cash and then sit upon it and survey your domain while listening to FMU all day and making incoherent declarations about your benevolent rule!
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:27pm Cheri Pi:

The cephalopod makes many valid points.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:27pm Bryce:

I really hope Bryce and Kurt are dancing in unison in the studio right now.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:43pm Cheri Pi:

Can we see a GIF of that dance team?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:44pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I prefer to think of it as your avatar, Pi. Bryce = the blue one, naturally.
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:45pm Cheri Pi:

Of course, it's right in front of our faces.

  Fri. 12/20/13 2:52pm Chapel Hillian:

Dog Faced Hermans are the most harmelodic band ever
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:55pm Cheri Pi:

Guess I have to go home and balance the tonearm (again) and listen to more Dog Faced Hermans after work. Will someone please have a talk with Mr. CP about the proper use of my turntable?
Avatar    Fri. 12/20/13 2:56pm Bryce:
