oh hi there!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:08pm Matt from Springfield:

But anyone who ever had a heart
Wouldn't turn around and break it
And anyone who ever played a part
Wouldn't turn around and hate it
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Today's mission: reach the silent marathon goal. You have 2:51 remaining.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:10pm Kurt Gottschalk:

wait. I'm suddenly a pepper young fan! is he nick the bard's dad?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:10pm common:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:11pm Matt from Springfield:

AM I Drunk??
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:13pm common:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:15pm Matt from Springfield:

Does that read: "I Bren't Le--Wi is ensemble"?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:16pm Sem Chumbo:

If you're drunk reading it does, Matt.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:18pm Scott Williams:

Hey e'rrybody! I am not drunk, but I am drunk at the thought of seeing that little doggy's tail wag during the show today. Do like Ken from Hyde Park says! Let's raise another 30% of me goal today, thank you!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:18pm Scott Williams:

Oy, Kurt, I can't find Nick tha Bard doing Thick as a Brick! That's what we need
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:19pm tim from champaign:

Howdy folks. Let's get Scott to 100%. 29% to go. Easy!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:21pm Scott Williams:

Thank ye kindly Tim! It's like 250 bucks - we can do that, yeah??
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:24pm tim from champaign:

$250, that's all? That's like the average bar bill for most FMU listeners.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:24pm Ike:

Is this the new Arcade Fire album?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:25pm Chris from DC:

Oh if only, Ike.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:26pm DCE:

haha!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Was it a year ago already when Hurricane Sandy roared through? Jersey City under water and all that? Happy to know that the station is still with us after the hardships, better than ever.
  Mon. 10/28/13 3:28pm Marie:

Hey is Sacred Product, like, 1/2 of the Fall? Hey Scott, can you play some New creation? TX!!!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:29pm Cheri Pi:

All hail the Nile Song!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:32pm DCE:

The Nile ain't just a river in Egypt, nuh uh.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:32pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey Sem Chumbo and everyone!

@Ken HP: WFMU is strong--when the listeners stand together!
Help out Scott and the station if you can!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:32pm Ike:

Chris from DC, I make little joke there, but actually, it's a fucking awesome album. James Murphy is all up in this one. Parts of it have some flavor of Bowie's "Let's Dance." Really.
  Mon. 10/28/13 3:33pm paula pc:

you know...thanks for the Lou.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:34pm Matt from Springfield:

Thank you Lou. And thank you Scott, for the Lou.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:35pm Chris from DC:

Ike, I enjoyed little joke, and the song too. Oh, and Lou!

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:38pm doca:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 3:53pm Marshall Stacks:

Bye, Lou.
  Mon. 10/28/13 3:59pm Marie:

He was his own person (while in the public eye) and a real artist. Big accomplishments.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:01pm Matt from Springfield:

"Pale Blue Eyes"--always so beaut, one of the songs of my enduring emotional core.
Perfect choice.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:03pm Mike East:

I have a Lou Reed guitar pick. I think I should stop using it and put it in a safe place now. I feel lucky to have come in contact with one of my biggest influences and very sad he's gone.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:04pm Matt from Springfield:

Touched and 'printed by Lou? I'd secure that in some safe place too. Removed to play tributes and songs in memory.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:06pm Carmichael:

Hi Kurt and others. Great, now I have to go to the loo.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:06pm SeanG:

she started shakin to that fine fine music
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:07pm Mike East:

@Matt - not sure if he touched it...coulda just been a backup. Was left in the studio, and yes, printed "LOU REED"
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:09pm northguineahills:

Fantastic Palace? Who are these guys, never heard of them...
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:10pm Stanley:

What's this? I like! I like! Who them?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:11pm Scott Williams:

ngh & Stanley, that was the visual artist Alexander Ross. He also made an awesome collage record called "The Grandfather Paradox".
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:15pm Matt from Springfield:

@Mike: That's a treasure in any case!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:19pm SeanG:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:20pm joe:

Anybody out there interested in two tickets to Sparks tonight at Webster Hall? The wife and I can't make it and I would hate see them go to waste. If you want them please let me know they are yours to have. I can email them to you.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:22pm joe:

@Cheri and who does an excellent cover of the Nile Song huh huh?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:31pm Cheri Pi:

voivod! DIGGING THIS tROPICAL pOPSICLE... WITH REVERSE CAPS LOCKS
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:31pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:37pm Cheri Pi:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:38pm joe:

Loved that Ice Balloons track
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:43pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Hey chums.
Still gainlessly not employed enough to earn my heart, but paying with BLOOD. Also, that Flaming Fire track was a big ball of god.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 4:45pm DCE:

oh that's HEAVY
  Mon. 10/28/13 4:55pm Marie:

@Joe--I sure wish I could go to the show tonight but can't as I am in Chicago. Does the Concorde still fly anywhere? Speaking of which I know a guy who blacked out in a drunk and woke up on the Concorde.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:01pm Mike East:

Boredoms...this good. yes.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:02pm Stanley:

Boredoms rock good!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:05pm Carmichael:

OK, back to the beat. Boredoms are setting a soundtrack for my answering silly contract law questions.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:06pm joe:

@Marie bummer I wish you could take them too. I really would love to see somebody enjoy them.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:07pm Mike East:

Hey Carmichael - sorry I had to comment and run last week...I saw on the archives your suggestion of the Boomerang...which is almost exactly the type of thing I'm looking for...was hoping for the option to load pre recorded samples via USB or SD card.
I've been thinking of using an SPD pad with a foot switch controller, too.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:09pm Chris from DC:

That's the part. Right there. Love this Boredoms.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:10pm Ike:

Wow this Boredoms is cool. It's like mutated Neu! with Japanese tentacles.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:11pm northguineahills:

can't... make it... any.... louder!
  Mon. 10/28/13 5:14pm Marie:

I really like this tune--I kept thinking it would become bed music. I can;t find my damn player to see who it is. I guess I have to wait a few seconds!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:15pm Scott Williams:

Hi Marie - it's Boredoms!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:17pm Chris from DC:

This is awesome.
  Mon. 10/28/13 5:18pm Marie:

Hidy Scott! Hey Joe--good luck with the tix (this piece with the alien yelling is so distracting :)). Thanks.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:18pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

What Chris said, lots.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:18pm Scott Williams:

Oh my stars... my pledge widget hasn't budged all show! Can we get $250 in the next 40 minutes? Thanks pals!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:23pm Carmichael:

@Mike: The only thing the Boomerang lacks is a USB input. I don't have much experience with InLine products, but I know they excel in the computer link-up department. Whether you can sample with them or not, I dunno.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:24pm KP:

NP
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:26pm Carmichael:

@Mike: Not InLine, but Line 6.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:26pm Scott Williams:

Thank you Chris M, Barney and KP! Only $100 to go!
  Mon. 10/28/13 5:29pm barney.grubbs:

you're welcome! good luck with the rest.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:29pm Mike East:

Ah cool. I'll look into it. Thanks much!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:30pm Mike East:

gotta split. night all!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:30pm KP:

Do people know this is only a pledge and they dont need a credit card right now. It's better that way but they can be billed for it.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:37pm Ike:

Hey KP, I normally make that point too, but I didn't see that option during this drive on the pledge form. Maybe I was missing something.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:38pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I am crawling down.
...vino tinto...'ies'...
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:39pm KP:

Ok ike you are right. There are no volunteers taking calls but ... after you hit PLEDGE you have have pledged! You owe. So i pledge with pay pal, sometimes i fulfill it later.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 5:41pm KP:
