7 degrees of Kevin Bacon, sounds like
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:44pm dave:

sebastion bach's great on the trailer park boys too-- model trains and weed
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:45pm Cecile:

Eddie Vedder is a good guy. I just dont' like his music.
But he has been a real fan of all kinds of people I like. He did a really moving tribute to Chris Knox at a Pearl Jam concert with Neil and Liam Finn.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:46pm Cecile:

I still remember Seb from the Supergroup reality show on VH1: "SAVAGE ANIMAL!"
Mon. 7/16/12 3:46pm Mark in DC:

Apparently Jon Lord (Deep Purple) has passed on as well.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:46pm northguineahills:

As I said last week when I heard of Dennis's death, I saw the Frog's open for the Smashing Pumpkins in 1996. It was so awesome seeing them play w/ their goofy costumes and all in front of 19,000 perplexed people. Billy Corgan was playing w/ them.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:47pm Cecile:

They should have put the supergroup people in a house in Milwaukee with the Frogs. That would have been a better show.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:47pm chris m.:

that was great
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:48pm Cecile:

streetcar!
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:49pm dave:

o little town of bethlehem?
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:51pm chris m.:

...i meant that set of music Scott played was great
Avatar Mon. 7/16/12 3:51pm Scott W:

thanks much chris!
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:54pm Cheri Pi:

What a nice surprise, I was lost in time in a My Castle of Quiet archive-then I was like-Oh Snap it;s Scott W time!
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:55pm DCE:

this one particular Can track has been getting so much play.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:55pm Cheri Pi:

Cecile, I know what you mean, I can't stand Pearl Jame but one of my besties loves them and says it's his comfort music- why is Eddie Vedder a good guy ? I'd just as well hate him for making bad music-but like I said I don't know that much about any of it....
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:57pm fred:

This Can track keeps reminding me of The Ex
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:57pm glenn:

geeez. the streetcar's come and gone.
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:58pm paula pc:

this is the perfect midsummer jam, right?
  Mon. 7/16/12 3:58pm DCE:

huh?
Avatar Mon. 7/16/12 3:59pm Scott W:

@paula - it's pretty sweet!
Mon. 7/16/12 4:00pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Is there some transportation thing happening in Jersey City? I detect a theme here. Streetcar, cars, let's go... (BTW, this is such a great Cars song. Too bad most of their other stuff is so boring or horrible. haha)
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:00pm Skidrow:

Next in library?
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:00pm Joe D:

according to @thefrogsfanzine, which just followed me on twitter apropos of nothing, today in Frogs history, Jimmy wrote the songs "Crime" (7/16/86) and "Rap" (7/16/90). Both remain unreleased.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:03pm northguineahills:

You know when you're listening to WFMU and a "non-WFMU" song comes on and the playlist isn't being updated so you check you're player to see if it didn't skip to another stream mp3? This was one of those times.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:04pm Kenzo:

Hi, sorry!
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:05pm Joe D:

whoops, its actually @frogsfanzine. Theres also some cryptic info there about free subscriptions to an actual physical zine to be mailed in October? Might be Jimmy himself?
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:05pm Cheri Pi:

Where was I.... Ahem....
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:06pm ami ad:

Hi Scott and all.Got e-mail issues...I can make it to your sweat house tomorrow morning , thanks for the invite
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:06pm nick:

haha, northguineahills. i definitely did that. (actually, checked that my phone didn't somehow start playing my itunes. ha.)
Avatar Mon. 7/16/12 4:07pm Scott W:

thanks ami, looking forward to seeing you!
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:07pm Cecile:

Eddie Vedder 1) took on Ticketmaster before anyone else did, 2) has tried to keep ticket prices lower, 3) actually befriended and helped his idols (many of which are the same as mine), 4) stopped doing videos after MTV cut "Jeremy" so that the message was the opposite of the song, and 5) people I know and like like him.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:08pm Brass Knuckles:

Slick track
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:09pm ami ad:

Cheers
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:10pm Andrew Waterloo:

@northguineahills I usually wait for the point where the track becomes a remix, mash-up, or gets destroyed in some way
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:11pm DCE:

yes, where was the traktor on that Cars track??
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:11pm Cheri Pi:

OK-I can dig it! His music doesn't reach me but I can see he is a decent man.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:13pm efd:

Still one of my all-time favorite Elvis C. songs.
Avatar Mon. 7/16/12 4:15pm Scott W:

  Mon. 7/16/12 4:26pm playlist search:

@Justin, it looks like both Trent and Pseu Braun have played some of your previous releases without fucking with them (unlike that nasty Ken), so they're probably good starting points.

Ah....

Sorry - tI was going the other way around.

Never mind

This is the song that made me want to learn the guitar.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:38pm DCE:

that version makes me want to learn how to build a robot, though.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:39pm still b/p:

I think it's funny they shut off the mikes when Springsteen and Sir Paul were jammin' past the curfew in London Saturday night.
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:40pm DCE:

haha, I didn't hear about that. too funny. NOBODY is above the law!
Avatar Mon. 7/16/12 4:43pm Scott W:

Hey guys, thanks much - but that's the Pearl Jam version (it;s their song) - I'm looking for The Frogs' version
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:43pm Andrew Waterloo:

I love to know what thought went into that move
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:46pm northguineahills:

@Joe D: Hence, the ""'s" ;)
  Mon. 7/16/12 4:47pm Jex:

  Mon. 7/16/12 4:48pm efd:

Scott, the link that Erik posted above (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVoGLi8fT1M ) is the Frogs song, even though the image is showing the PJ side of the single.

...summer be damned, I don't do IPAs...
Mon. 7/16/12 5:15pm Chris from DC:

There are some nonstandard IPAs you might feel different about. Anything with Sorachi Ace hops for starters.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:16pm Cecile:

I like Fulton's Sweet Child of Vine. Hoppy but really drinkable. Unusually so.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:18pm Bad Ronald:

May I recommend MH #9 #9 #9...

  Mon. 7/16/12 5:18pm BSI:

Good points, all.
But a recent visit with comrades from London (and their very generous gift of a boat-load of Walkers Cheese & Onion crisps, being the god's gift to humankind), required some English semi-dark ale.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:20pm still b/p:

A local alternative paper enthusiastically describes a "resurgence" and "second wave" of craft beer brewing, especially around here. ("The first wave crested at the turn of the [21st] century.")
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:21pm northguineahills:

@BSI: Yum! I've had exactly one of those.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:21pm Cecile:

hahahahahaha don't you have to stop to have a resurgence?

that's funny.
very funny.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:21pm BSI:

oh man, Bad Ronald: I played a wild gig in Delaware last year against a hostile drunk audience who weren't expecting noise. I drank about six thousand MH#9s just to keep up the good fight. Now, I associate that beer with that show...
Mon. 7/16/12 5:21pm Chris from DC:

This Eleven Twnety-Nine is killer, by the way.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:22pm BSI:

...Anyway, SCOTT: sorry to come in late & hijack the board with all this beer shite. Looks like I've missed another great show. Cheers,
Mon. 7/16/12 5:22pm Chris from DC:

Twenty-Nine. And I haven't even started drinking.

See y'all next time.

Nice story BSI!

BTW Scott, that last Frogs song was wonderful. Sad to show my uncoolness by saying I've never heard of them before. That's why I listen to the Woof Moo.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:40pm northguineahills:

This Zru Vogue reminds me of the 90s FL band, Sella.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:42pm BSI:

Marzidovshek = twelve million thumbs up.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:43pm Cecile:

another cool thing about Pearl Jam is that they put the Frogs's cover of their rearviewmirror on the b side of the single.
  Mon. 7/16/12 5:43pm northguineahills:

Somehow, I missed Woody Guthrie's centennial Saturday.
Mon. 7/16/12 5:47pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Carmichael: There was a time when every single one of us had not heard of The Frogs. Everyone has to start somewhere, and today's show was a great place to start. Now you know! Get out there and get some of their albums. :-)
