You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

Wow, triple D's!
  Mon. 4/16/12 9:09pm Bill:

Mon. 4/16/12 9:10pm Vorsprung durch Technik:

Mon. 4/16/12 9:25pm Richard from Venezuela:

Thanks for the twitter advice Dan. Greetings to you and all the listeners.

  Mon. 4/16/12 9:31pm Bill:

Did anyone hear the "interview" with Jason Pierce today on Morning Addition?
  Mon. 4/16/12 9:31pm Bill:

...I mean "Edition"!
Mon. 4/16/12 9:35pm Richard from Venezuela:

Mon. 4/16/12 9:43pm Vorsprung durch Technik:

  Mon. 4/16/12 9:44pm pedro silveira:

great kraut selection. greetings from porto alegre, brazil!
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 9:47pm Dan B:

Thanks all -- yeah, @Vorsprung, I doubt this will be played in any of the 8 MOMA nights, but it really kills, doesn't it! @Pedro, grusse aus Brazil!
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 9:47pm Dan B:

@Richard, I want a Jimi Hendrix hologram for my living room!
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 9:48pm Dan B:

@Bill, what did Pierce have to say? I guess talking about the new Spiritualized?
Mon. 4/16/12 9:50pm Richard from Venezuela:

The new spiritualized's release is killer.
Mon. 4/16/12 9:51pm Vorsprung durch Technik:

yup - as the Germans would say, "das war der Hammer!" ("that was the hammer!")
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 9:52pm Dan B:

Kraftwerk really kicked it with the guitars. Le sigh.
  Mon. 4/16/12 9:54pm Andrew Waterloo:

Yah, but you can't begrudge the rest of Kraftwerk's history.
Mon. 4/16/12 9:55pm Vorsprung durch Technik:

"somewhat more bearable" is now "infinitely more bearable". Vielen Dank, Dan!
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 9:57pm Dan B:

OK, so this Hapshash album is English, but still.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:02pm Happy Kyne:

Fantastic radio!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:03pm Bill:

Jason Piece interview: When asked if his illness would make him change his ways, he pretty much said "no". Otherwise it was an awrefulinterview and really more of a commerical for his new album disguised as an interview. I apologize for not spending that time listening to a real radio station but I don't get you over the airwaves here in VT!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:05pm mo:

the cabbage tastes great. thank you sir.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:09pm Andrew Waterloo:

Staff Carpenborg has an amazing album cover: http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.ca/2007/05/staff-carpenborg-and-electric-corona.html there is a reissue floating around out there too
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:09pm Destroit:

  Mon. 4/16/12 10:11pm Frogger:

I said Guru Guru!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:12pm Andrew Waterloo:

although this is a very good Faust track
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 10:14pm Dan B:

@Frogger, how'd you guess what I was just in the midst of cuing up?
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:14pm D in Miami:

Indeed 'tis!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:15pm Bill:

Faust and Kraftwerk represent two gaping holes in my music collection. Any suggestions on where to start? I really like this Faust track that's on right now...
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 10:21pm Dan B:

@Bill, there are lots of great albums by both. Start with old Faust -- So Far, The Faust Tapes. Kraftwerk: Autobahn is good, The Man-Machine, also Trans-Europe Express. Classics all.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:28pm Bill:

Great. Thanks!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:30pm triish:

Butterfly migration passing through some Toronto downtown, today, ..or something.

Great listening.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:34pm cath t:

faust! that's who I was trying to think of today! I got as far as, a German band at atp.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:39pm triish:

I counted 5-10 fluttering around whenever I looked or went out. "red admirals" Blown way off course maybe?
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 10:40pm Dan B:

@Cath, glad to oblige. @Triish, sounds amazing!
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:45pm cath t:

sadly, that wasn't what was keeping me up at nearly four in the morning, but listening is a good activity. I used to fall asleep to the first side of autobahn when I was little...
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:46pm triish:

Amazing, yeah. So light and floppy, they probably don't have much of a set route. Amazing enough to mention in relation to 'Space: Downtown..'
Mon. 4/16/12 10:47pm Van in DC:

Just want to say hi.
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:48pm kirk:

  Mon. 4/16/12 10:49pm Alicia Renee:

  Mon. 4/16/12 10:55pm D in Miami:

I keep sensing NWW in these intros. How 'bout something from that NNW/Faust album?
  Mon. 4/16/12 10:57pm Manolo:

man ... this is fantastic
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 10:58pm Dan B:

@Cath, hope this soothes the unquiet mind somewhat! Just watched grew vid of you and Phil and Tim at top of mt. last night, v nice! @Alicia, I actually have had tile adhesion in mind. (Not really.) @D in Miami, hmmm, right on, they're in my mind all through this show too -- let me see if I can get that in here somewhere.
  Mon. 4/16/12 11:01pm cath t:

  Mon. 4/16/12 11:02pm D in Miami:

  Mon. 4/16/12 11:05pm Andrew Waterloo:

No D, but I 'm sure there's an iPhone App?
  Mon. 4/16/12 11:24pm D in Miami:

  Mon. 4/16/12 11:25pm Ike:

  Mon. 4/16/12 11:48pm Manolo:

Thank you very much Sir
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 11:52pm Dan B:

My pleasure Manolo
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 11:54pm Dan B:

Well I guess I'll have to wait until next week to get to all those throat-singing tunes I wanted to play...
Avatar Mon. 4/16/12 11:54pm Dan B:

@D in Miami, here you go -- as per your request
  Mon. 4/16/12 11:56pm Tom M:

Dan, let me know if you need more throat singing. I've got plenty.
  Mon. 4/16/12 11:57pm D in Miami:

Thanks, Dan! Haven't listened to this in a while. Guess I'll be getting it out soon.
  Mon. 4/16/12 11:58pm D in Miami:

The throat singing should be a good show. Looking forward to it.
