Hello, Dolly.
  Mon. 7/25/11 3:43pm paul:

There are few bands I like more than the Gun Club (saw them once), Its odd that I was completely unaware of their last three albums until recently
(Pastoral hide and Seek, Divinity, & Lucky Jim). My college radio days lay before them I confess. Some good songs on those. Kid Congo was at Fort Reno Park gig (a DC thing) a few years ago with his Pink Monkey band.
  Mon. 7/25/11 3:47pm pierre:

thanks for the Gun Club
  Mon. 7/25/11 3:47pm T-Zero:

Like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds -- Kid Congo made me think of them.

is this song ever played on WFMU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjaBG-Ur1DQ) ? as for this song behind you Scott, i'm still wondering, what is it ?
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:42pm pierre:

just did RFV… i think some people saw a trailer… couldn't fond it anywhere, and i searched the internet…
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:45pm Scott:

music behind me on that break is one full side of a Reader's Digest easy listening LP called "Love is Blue". As for the trailer for the FMU doc, it was briefly (accidentally) public, It's not ready, sorry (not that I have anything to do with it). It'll be back
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:46pm Handsome Harry:

Diggin' the Guapo. Heavy.
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:48pm BSI:

Footage of Bryce weeping under a wig of potato mash & asparagus is mandatory.
Mon. 7/25/11 4:49pm Thomas from St. Croix, VI:

Is it Guapo or el Guapo that had to change their name? Having been sued by Taco Bell or something
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:52pm still b/p:

What was the initial piece of talkover music between the set that ended with La Fondation and the one that started with Red Mass?
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:53pm Jeremiah:

Play anything by Hunter's Palace and I will give you the conch!!! Please
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:54pm Scott:

Oh, that one was Peter Duchin, That Duchin Touch. In particular the song "Let's Face the Music and dance"
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:56pm pierre:

yeah Grudge !!!
@Scott : can't wait to see both trailer and movie. (which is a bit stupid to say but who cares…)
  Mon. 7/25/11 4:57pm still b/p:

I thought there was something else there, too. Thanks. I'll check it later. I do like "Let's Face the Music...," whether by Duchin or sung by Astaire.
Mon. 7/25/11 4:57pm Richard from Venezuela:

  Mon. 7/25/11 5:01pm pierre:

isn't love already a feeling ?
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:02pm marq:

does Scott still have his beard? I think X-Ray was talking about him on Sunday. He said Scott told him he should shave his beard and then tattoo his clown face and grow the beard back or something like that. I have not seen any pics of X-Ray with his big ass beard but apparantly he has grown one hell of one. They were also talking about "bears" and mustache parades. People have said I look like a bear but I'm not gay. But if I were a gay man I would probably be a bear. I look more like a bear I guess now that I have my head shaved down quite short. Used to have long hair with beard but that is not the bear look. that would be grizzly adams look.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:10pm Scott:

nah man, my beard's gone
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:19pm Handsome Harry:

This is so frickin' creepy. Love it.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:19pm hubba:

I'm crying, this is so gorgeously f'd
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:20pm ADM:

Sounds like the Old Codger's having some intimacy issues. Good to see he's branching out!
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:20pm pierre:

(this is going to be difficult to find on the internet)
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:20pm Marshall Stacks:

I thought it was Adam Sandler 'til I looked at the playlist.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:21pm BSI:

It's a good time to be alive.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:22pm marq:

I saw the Coen brother's version of True Grit last night. I thought Jeff Bridges sounded just like the Old Codger often.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:23pm hubba:

My stomach sounds like the Old Codger... hello(s) to all!
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:23pm pierre:

Cave live must be good
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:25pm hubba:

Alvarius B dropped into town last night and rearranged what I should expect from a live show... I was close to peeing my pants, but now I'm okay.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:26pm Handsome Harry:

Those Frogs are The Frogs who hail from Milwaukee?
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:26pm BSI:

Not too familiar with these folk. Sounds like a reasonable land-bridge between Neu and Kinski...
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:27pm ?:

cave be rockin'
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:28pm Scott:

Frogs ain't fooling, check out their intense song blog http://www.facebook.com/notes/the-frogs-official-band-page/the-frogs-lp-song-blogs/358964649969 then send Brother Jimmy $10 and he'll make you a VHS copy of Toy Porno -- which, btw, you can find excerpted on youtube

  Mon. 7/25/11 5:43pm hubba:

My 5 year old was disappointed to find out that the weather is not the same throughout the entire universe...
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:43pm hubba:

she wanted me to keep driving till the weather changed...
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:44pm hubba:

so we had a conversation about conservation...
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:44pm hubba:

she asked if my records are made out of oil...
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:45pm hubba:

I wanted to change the subject but she is like Quincy, so I said, "yes, yes they are mad eout of oil..."
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:46pm hubba:

she furrowed her brow, and changed her mind about drivign till the weather changed... something inside her died that day.
  Mon. 7/25/11 5:49pm hubba:
