At this point in the show, I am starting to repeat certain songs for background music. Rather than list each and every occurence of the music (we are only required to do so a couple of time a year) I'll rely on your discerning ear to detect music you have already heard in the background. With all the edits in these types of shows, logging each instance of music is incredibly laborious and I am not feeling incredibly laborious at this very moment, I'm feeling incredibly lazy and irresponsible.

An Interview with Rob Zombie (whom I encountered at random on the corner of 5th Ave. and 23rd St. in Manhattan.) He was kind enough to let me interview him, "until my cab shows up." I stretched this short interview for all it was worth. I was also star-struck, nervous, and I thought of 8-billion cool questions after he left. Oh, well ... it was still fun.

Another episode of The Dusty Show is in the can. I hope you enjoyed it, although, when discussing the misery in Japan, enjoyed hardly seems like the right word. I want to thank you again for all your support during the recent marathon. It was a great one for WFMU. This past week, the vibe at the station has been very upbeat and happy and it's because of you, the listeners, for giving us this tremendous boost of support. It matters. I wanted to come out of Marathon with a strong program, an interview-based show. These are the ones I put the most work into, although, this doesn't always mean they are the best. I had really high hopes that this could be a powerful episode, with all the feelings flying around about Japan and the tragedy unfolding there, and with the Union busting and all the controversy surrounding that issue. In the end, I feel I fell a little short. More time might have helped. A few more interviews. It's not always possible, though. I can say that I tried my best, and that's about all one can do. Meeting Rob Zombie was an amusing accident. I wish I could have prepared for that, but sometimes you have to just seize the moment and give it a shot. He was very kind to have participated. In closing, I guess I would like to send my own personal wishes for better days ahead in Japan. The amount of suffering being endured there is unimaginable. Truly beyond comprehension. So many issues in the world today. Japan, Libya, American politics ... every day something new and seemingly grave. There is certainly no shortage of things to report on or chase after, from an amateur journalist's point of view. I'll keep trying. Thank you so much for listening, and for your continued support. I appreciate it very much, I really do. Until next time my friends, take care and ... Always remember ... Clay Pigeon - NYC
