You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

  Sun. 6/28/09 6:24am fred:

Good morning Dan, so I guess it's "Airborne Event with Dad Bodah" now.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:06am Seamus:

Sunday morning is a bad time to hate.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:07am Dan B:

Tell me about it!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:09am Seamus:

Apparently it's good for monster trucks though?
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:11am Dan B:

It's *always* a good time for monster trucks. Damn, I need to get a guest monster truck on the show pronto.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:13am Seamus:

Grave Digger would be an appropriate guest.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:14am Seamus:

Local t.v. news is rad!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:20am Seamus:

I just stumbled on Sir Richard Bishop a few days ago and now I'm hearing his material all over the place. This seems to be a common theme in life with music.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:23am Seamus:

I guess I've taken over the comment board. Please somebody stop me before I slip into complete madness!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:30am Not Seamus:

Great show so far. I've really enjoyed the last 3 tracks very much.
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:33am Dan B:

Thanks Not-Seamus
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:34am David:

Yes, top notch show!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:36am Lovich:

...about last week show. Aloisa Schinkenmaier ? It's been stuck in my head since last week!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:45am Dan B:

Thanks for checking in, David. Lovich, yeah, that prophesying in foreign tongues has got some catchy hooks!
  Sun. 6/28/09 7:55am Steve:

Hi Dan - God your good! New recruit to WFMU from Brighton, England. Still finding my way around your station - you guys are crazy (in a good way!)
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:02am Lovich:

Check out this incredible pipes (zurli) and drums (tapani) from Macedonia.
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:22am Dan B:

Steve, glad you found us. Be careful, They may be monitoring your internet connection and send a squad for you now that you're on board with WFMU. Lovich, thanks for the suggestion!
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:37am David:

Thanks for the link to excavated shellac. More stuff to check out in the never-ending sea of music on the net. It's such a great addiction.
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:49am Divad:

Yaw siht retteb hcum os!
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:51am Dan B:

Yeah, there's so much out there it's almost too much. I can't imagine growing up in such a music rich environment -- I had to drive 2 hours to find a Residents record when I was in high school! BTW, all, the link is http://excavatedshellac.wordpress.com/ for Excavated Shellac -- and all of the Excavated Shellac tunes are also downloadable at WFMU's Free MusicArchive.org
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:53am David:

Grew up in the burbs of Chicago and made many trips to the city JUST to buy music.
  Sun. 6/28/09 8:55am David:

What's really amazing to me is how many people are content with what's on the radio and popular media.
  Mon. 6/29/09 12:45pm John Hell:

Thanks for playing the new Mark Growden. His new music sounds AMAZING!!! I can't wait to hear more.
  Mon. 6/29/09 4:46pm Erik:

i just smoked a bit, and I must say the 128kbps MP3 encoding is making "Sunday Morning" sound mighty good. That layered stuff, those voice-derived transients, it makes it sound like wicked experimentation going on amid absolutely stupendous production. What talent, those Velvets, and what a fortuitous coming together.
