Everything. Multi-sensory soundscapes. Intimate monologues. Street interviews from all walks of life. Intensive quik-cut sound editing. Social commentary. Odd vinyl. Gladness/sadness. Cornfields, gravel roads and urban sprawl.

The flipside of "Precious and Few". Here is a classic case of a band having an unexpected soft-rock hit, when what they really longed to do was be "heavy."
One band member wrote "Rock and Roll Heaven" which was given to The Righteous Bros. Precious and Few author, Larry Nims, had a sister who went on to play violin with Garth Brooks.

One of my favorite ... no ... my FAVORITE drummer ever. Abercrombie is great but, not quite Mahavishnu. I love the first 3 Cobham LPs.

My favorite Bubblegum Classic. Found this at a flea market last weekend for $1. Was very happy as it was a childhood favorite. I love most everything on Buddah and Kama Sutra Records.

Wow! What a story (I love Wikipedia). Sherman was a house singer on TV's Shindig and then got a role on Here Come The Brides (The inspiration for this song). He also had his own TV show called Getting Together. These days he is a San Bernadino County Sheriff and has been a paramedic.

Wow ... turns out Mr. Villame was considered "The Father of Phillipine Novelty Songs." He recently passed away in 2007, but was quite a well-known singer/actor in The Phillipines. This was his first record, financed by the bus company he worked for as a driver. I came across many Phillipino records at the flea market last weekend. Not knowing what they were, this is the one I picked, rather at random. I love it!

Another show comes to an end. I hope you liked it. The 27th episode of the season. Wow. Time flies. Thanks for your e-mails, though I always wish for more. dusty@wfmu.org Some of you have been lamenting the absence of Kolonel Karl and Dusty. I could go into a littany of excuses. I guess I have just been giving them a break. They will return. Anyway ... thanks again for taking time out of your life to check out the Dusty Show. I REALLY do appreciate it. Last week I got NO CALLS on the D-SAM and it makes me sad. Give me a ring and read a poem or talk politics or anything you want. 201 521 1375 I look forward to hearing from you! Until next time my friends, take care and ... always remember. CP08
