Listener comments!

  Tue. 9/18/07 9:23am Borat:

"On The Beach." Niiiiicce!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:24am Wes:

The air is getting crisp and cool again, fall is coming, the morning's are beautiful, energy is up, spirits are high, love is in the air, amazing things have good chances of happening.
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:24am Lang:

You forgot the Misfits Hatch, apple picking, horror films and the MISFITS!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:26am The Framinator:

I'm liking the new frame format.
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:28am Hatch:

Of course, the Misfits! By the way I'm running pretty low on decent horror films to watch this year, really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Anybody got any good recommendations?
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:32am viagra:

take it from me 53 is too old
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:35am Hatch:

Is that the title of a horror film?
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:37am Dickdong:

<take it from me 53 is too old>
Ba gum lad, tha's nowt but a nipper.
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:40am Lang:

I have Bloody Mama and Bucket of Blood ( Corman 1959) in the queue also Bloody Judge (Franco 1973).
I will let you know how they are
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:48am jonathan:

i just saw queen of blood with dennis hopper. not scary, but entertaining. have you seen blue sunshine? oh, and images by robert altman. 70's weirdness!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:53am TOUSSAINT:

GREETINGS FROM L.A. YOU ALL! LOVING THE MIX DUDE!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:55am Hatch:

Images, I love. Not horror but very creepy. Haven't seen the other two, thanks!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:55am Melissa:

Go Goblin, Go! Nice new layout too.
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:55am Shad:

very cool. Goblin is great! u rock Hatch!
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:57am JJZ:

I always enjoy Goblin.
  Tue. 9/18/07 9:59am Lang:

Night Tide w/ a VERY young Dennis Hopper is worth seeing, not horror but very bizarre and enjoyable.
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:01am Shad:

Samhain - November Comin Fire, something?
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:05am jonathan:

zombie by fulci is a classic. never in a film have i seen a zombie fight with a real shark while a topless woman swims around. great soundtrack too.
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:07am Hatch:

I'm pretty sure Zombi is actually Dawn Of The Dead, the Fulci film is Zombi 2 and yes it is pretty radical.
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:11am Lang:

Hatch did you ever see SLITHER. It was awesome, a return to the Sam Raimi/ Cemetery Man genre.....also I trust you have seen the Coffin Joe series.......
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:19am Shad:

good films Lang. not a big fan of the Coffin Joe series myself but I like the other two. Hatch needs to watch some Bava films like Bloody Sunday & Black Sabbath. those are great for cold autumn days like today.
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:20am Lang:

You have to get Killer Nun (1978) w/ Anita Ekberg in the title role. Also I really enjoyed Lizard in a Woman's Skin (1971).
have you seen 2LDK- 2 tokyo girls go from bickering roomates to trying to kill each other- awesome. Not horror, uh
Ok....sorry am I hogging the comments?
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:22am Lang:

Shad!!
I was just gonna bring up Bloody Sunday! SO GREAT!!! Any early Barbara Steele is gonna be great, I have The Faceless Monster (1965) on the way!
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:22am lydia:

Is this Cedric Brooks, with the sort of Haitian sounding horns? Loving it!!!
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:26am Hatch:

I am not a huge Bava fan, I find his films a bit boring. But thanks for the other ideas. Hog away!
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:35am jonathan:

deep red is another good one.
living dead girl and other jean rollin flicks are strange and creepy. have you seen tourist trap?
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:45am Like Mupica:

hey Hatch: you are so right to dub Bob W the king of fill-ins on WFMU. In fact I heard that since he has become the go-to guy for WFMU fillin s that he is legally changing his name to "BOB WFMU" - seriously!
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:46am Hatch:

Tourist Trap is on my list. I will have to watch that one next...
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:46am Cecile:

Wow, Animal Collective are really channelling Todd Rundgren here, doncha think?
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:47am Hatch:

I hadn't though of that, but it's an apt comparison. Who doesn't like Todd Rundgren?
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:48am Cecile:

I mean!
  Tue. 9/18/07 10:48am dawn:

broadcast + september sun = sigh
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:02am Wes:

broadcast + cool september air + accidental flirtateous meeting at the water fountain = sigh
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:06am dawn:

wow i wish i was outside by a water fountain instead of inside by a desktop machine.
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:08am Brandon:

I consider I Heart Huckabees to be a horror film.
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:09am Blob W.:

Don't listen to that Mupica guy. He's still drunk from last night.
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:25am kwhitehead:

Hatch: You been shopping at Dusty Groove again?
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:25am Loner:

The test of the EBS is my favorite part of the show.
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:27am Hatch:

Kwhitehead, I'm entirely unsure what to make of that question. Do you mean to imply that today's show is more "dusty" than usual?
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:30am kwhitehead:

Hatch: Well...in a way yes, but that's not a bad thing. I just so happened to be doing some shopping on DG's website while listening to your show and came across both the Genesis CD and the With the sun in My Eyes comp.
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:31am Hatch:

I don't think I've ever actually ordered from Dusty Groove, but they are a great shop indeed.
Tue. 9/18/07 11:32am Ann Arbor Doug:

Hell yeah, Bob & Gene. This is my JAM!
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:35am dawn:

going outside... the beauty of the recent archives page!
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:44am Matt:

Dusty Groove rocks! So does this show! Everything rocks! Hooray, it's Tuesday!
  Tue. 9/18/07 11:46am Matt:

Seriously, I liked that Cedric Brooks track.
Tue. 9/18/07 11:53am dave in vermont:

yay for bretschneider!!
  Thu. 9/20/07 3:23am fieldresearcher:

the host, korean suspense/horror film, highly suggested
  Thu. 9/20/07 8:51am Hatch:

That is indeed a good one...
  Wed. 9/26/07 9:46pm david watson:
