Many of Gordon's film feature some kind of Gigantism, The Amazing Colossal Man, Village of the Giants, The Spider, etc. But grasshoppers are herbivores, aren't they? Are there any real examples of them attacking Humans?

	3:46pm WM: I read a very interesting review that compared Them! with Mimic (1997) - another film about giant insects - directed by Guillermo del Toro Gomez. The review is about how science has turned from something at least potentially benign to something almost entirely destructive in contemporary SciFi films.
