I couldn't get the results because "patient privacy policy" required I access those through a smartphone app. The doctor who ordered the tests (in the same hospital) couldn't get them either because "privacy". It had to go up the head of the hematology department, who could retrieve them and forward them to my doctor. I heard he was none too pleased to do what was basically secretarial work

	10:50am pmcWhenever: US Health INDUSTRY is unbelievable in its obstacles, ya have to push and dance so hard to get basic care. Persistence and documentation and creativity is a requirement for care and another human (of age) with you is nearly necessary to not be ignored or billed to death - even with insurance! We have a lot o great peeps, and tech but not enough empathy in the essentially greedy system… good work J.

More generally, I think more often than we tend to think 'the part we hate' and 'the part we like' are more bound-up with each other than we'd like to think….

I couldn't get the results because "patient privacy policy" required I access those through a smartphone app. The doctor who ordered the tests (in the same hospital) couldn't get them either because "privacy". It had to go up the head of the hematology department, who could retrieve them and forward them to my doctor. I heard he was none too pleased to do what was basically secretarial work

Persistence and documentation and creativity is a requirement for care and another human (of age) with you is nearly necessary to not be ignored or billed to death - even with insurance!
