Any guy who's worked with Björk, Goldfrapp, HEALTH, and Michael Mann is a true innovator in my book.

His early albums were great too. I saw him at the Masonic Temple Brooklyn in 2014 during the Red Bull Music Festival.

Yeah, I imagine he's gotten some airplay on "Dark Night Of The Soul". Speaking of which, I have yet to catch up on that show. Lots of good, dark gems to immerse my ears into.

I think my favorite thing about your interviews, Devon, is the reaction of the interviewee. They are so unused to being asked questions by someone knowledgeable, questions with such specificity to their craft and process, and who can comment so well on their work.

Andrew C Benepe:

loved everything about "Midsommar". Sat with my son in a near empty suburban multiplex whispering about which buildings would be destroyed at the climax

greetings, Devon! Island Dwellers!
been listening, just away from keyboard -- i thought this sounded familiar!

Also, how is FMU not an educational institution?

Wow, what an origin story about the Soft Cell cover of Tainted Love! Love learning new things on WFMU.

Thanks! Next week is Brad Fiedel. Composer of The Terminator! Fright Night! Serpent & The Rainbow!
  8:03pm
Androu B.:

Great to get to know one of the producers behind one of Björk's most outstanding albums. (Incidentally, she's a peer of mine!)

Thank You, Devon. Excellent interview! Certainly one noteworthy enough for archiving.
  8:06pm
Androu B.:

Oh yes, and I'm certainly eager to hear next week's interview! Brad Fiedel is certainly an accomplished artist in his own right, considering his immense body of work.
