Male clown rage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Ken From Hyde Park:

If only someone had the power bestow the Medal of Freedom on the Joker.
Avatar 7:09pm northguineahills:

I've met Joaquin Phoenix in person at a party, but never saw Joker....
Avatar 7:10pm edelkakao cha cha:

I want to get the soundtrack as anything I have heard from Hildur Guðnadóttir is never bad, as for the movie itself, hmmm, Happy Days reruns sounds more like the stuff for me.
Avatar 7:14pm dale:

ceasar romero is the only joker for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm YETI BOB:

I just finished reading an interview with Hildur Guðnadóttir in the Wire. I was curious to hear the Joker soundtrack, but I figured I'd never get a chance (I'm not interested in the film). Then I flip on WFMU and it's playing => Thanks Devon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm mariano:

Wasn't there another composer on Sicario as well, an Icelandic guy? Johanssen, I think. Died not long ago, unfortunately.
  7:16pm spodiodi:

also uninterested in the film, but liked the music
Avatar 7:16pm northguineahills:

aye, mariano
Avatar 7:17pm northguineahills:

I'm on the October 2017 issue of the Wire, I ways to go to catch up....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm ultradamno:

first solo woman ever to take home the trophy in the category www.refinery29.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm YETI BOB:

@mariano: the CD that came with the August 2019 issue is fantastic
  7:25pm JakeGould:

Did anyone actually see that last “Star Wars” film? I know utterly nobody who admits to seeing it.
Avatar 7:29pm dale:

i saw the one where mark hammell went 'poof' - is that the last one?
  7:31pm JakeGould:

@dale: No, that was episode 8, “The Last Jedi.” I am talking about episode 9.

7: The Force Awakens
8: The Last Jedi
9: The Rise of Skywalker.
  7:35pm JakeGould:

That shouting at each other scene in “Marriage Story” should win an Oscar for “Best Cinematic Portrayed of People Shouting at Each Other” at the Academy Awards.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm ultradamno:

Now that Disney has film rights to Hamilton, it shouldn't be too long until there's one of these shows with a cue about a duel or something.
Avatar 7:38pm edelkakao cha cha:

I am a member of an elitist club; people born in the 70s who HATE Star Wars.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm ultradamno:

I liked the first one OK when I saw it as a kid, but I've never even seen any of the others. I'm just sick of never getting through a day without hearing about it.
  7:44pm spodiodi:

little women could have used some robots
Avatar 7:45pm edelkakao cha cha:

I saw the special edition of the first one as a 21 year old; the two guys in my company had probably seen the original before they could even read the finnish subtitles, they:over the moon, me:meh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm mariano:

I was 8 when the first one came out, so I was in the target audience. I was absolutely besotted with Star Wars for a few years, had most of the toys, but had pretty much forgotten about it a year or so after Empire Strikes Back.
  7:48pm JakeGould:

@spodiodi: Yeah, some sexy droids.
  7:49pm spodiodi:

like IG-88 in Mandalorian! hubba-hubba!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm YETI BOB:

I grew up reading sci-fi and even at age 12 I kind of felt like Star Wars was kinda cheezy. I remember writing something for the school paper where I said "Close Encounters" was a better sci-fi movie. It was controversial!
  7:49pm JakeGould:

FWIW, I am just saying that this new sequel trilogy Disney has created is really not that popular even with kids.
  7:49pm spodiodi:

phones are popular
  7:50pm spodiodi:

oh and vaping
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm YETI BOB:

are we voting? if we are, I think the Joker soundtrack is the winner so far
  7:50pm JakeGould:

Hoverboards too.
  7:50pm spodiodi:

i think that's it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm mariano:

I really liked Rogue One, but I'm not so up on the mythos and nuances that I could argue with a diehard fan over whether or not it was good in terms of the whole canon. I just thought it was a well-done movie.
  7:51pm spodiodi:

i thought hoverboards were out. electric kick scooters are in
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm ultradamno:

I think I discovered Alien before the Empire came out, that may have thrown some of the interest off too.
Avatar 7:53pm Chud:

I thought the way 1917 was shot was immersive enough, but I found the cuts pretty apparent.
Avatar 7:53pm Chud:

Kind of jarring, like, why is the camera doing that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm YETI BOB:

@ultradamno: yeah, Alien - there's some REAL sci-fi!
  7:54pm JakeGould:

@Chud: How dare you criticize this generation’s “Saving Private Ryan.”
  7:55pm GListener MW:

Loving this Newman!!! I’ve got to see this flick asap
Avatar 7:55pm Chud:

@JakeGould Heh, that sounds about right
Avatar 7:55pm dale:

this is gorgeous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm YETI BOB:

ok now i have to reconsider my vote
  7:56pm JakeGould:

No matter what garbage goes on in the world, we must all remember the two most important wars: “Star Wars” and World War II.
Avatar 8:00pm dale:

i'd like to see a movie about 1917 mad with music from 1917. maybe some billy murray or ada jones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm YETI BOB:

@JakeGould: you forgot "Urgh! A Music War"
