Aitch: Try a different deodorant?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05am

Evening/Morning all...Love this- has a "If I Could Only Remember My Name" vibe to me.
Agent Peter:

"He does that. He sticks a needle in our head before every performance."
Avatar 12:09am

frankincensce is an underrated fragerence
Avatar 12:10am
Jeff Conklin:

I like palo santo

This Scott Appel is gorgeous
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14am

Great start, Jeff.
Agent Peter:

"You-hoo! The monitors!"

I just got a new deodorant made in Olympia WA, now I smell like a Beat Happening fan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17am

I love the playlist homepage. When I listen this show I imagine sitting out by a lake with bone fire on a warm summer night. So relaxing...
Jeff Conklin:

Praise to artist Dane Patterson for that image!
Agent Peter:

"There's not m...m...much coming out of those monitors b...b....b....bear."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am

Grammar needs some work. Sorry about that.
Avatar 12:25am
Jeff Conklin:

No grammar police here, Rory. Just 80s Dead cops
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am

Popular 80s SF band Millions of Dead Cops?
Avatar 12:27am
Jeff Conklin:

I think MDC were from Texas?

I think they were called the Stains in Texas and then moved/changed their name
Agent Peter:

Was an interlude way before the 80's there Cap'n Defensive. Since you did a fine job with the last one this one should have been duck soup given the venue.
Avatar 12:36am
Jeff Conklin:

@Peter: lol
Agent Peter:

A very roundabout way to request Easy Wind if I didn't already know that you don't take requests so that's definitely what it was that I wasn't doing.
Avatar 12:39am
Jeff Conklin:

@Peter: ALMOST had EW on the playlist for tonight....No joke

I just had that in my head too, WTF...saw someone made a Stone Jack Baller t shirt
Avatar 12:41am
Jeff Conklin:

listened to a great one this morning, date is escaping me at the moment
Avatar 12:44am

"I forget when"...
Avatar 12:47am

Alabama feelling,,,
Avatar 12:47am

Agent Peter:

I was endeavoring to channel that Springers Ballroom show, has an excellent EW. Some exceptional versions of a few others too.
Eric Hat:

Nothing quite like burning some ridiculous amounts of Green Hojari and White Copal on a few hits. I swear by the end of the night you can see that everything is ‘drenched’...only word I know to describe whatever ghosty thing I’m seeing. Definitely weakens the veil.

the hippies are dead now I'm a yippie
also pome pome
Eric Hat:

Lol. Good morning folks.
Avatar 12:50am

listen to yourselves
Avatar 12:51am

(you're ok)

Jeff Conklin:

What's going on here
Eric Hat:

Jeff! Yr on!
Eric Hat:

Loving the show. And wasn’t being sarcastic in the slightest...

christ that Matt Lajoie was amazing .. reminded me of the ol days when Total would blow my multi-tracked guitar mind .. two tapes were left on the Flower Room bandcamp .. now there is one, folks..

Gotta go to bed, but I LOVED your set so far tonight. Really hit the spot in ways I can not fully explain. But I have tp say thank you!

really enjoyed the Popul vuh ....enjoying the variety..
Avatar 1:09am
Jeff Conklin:

Nice, Konstantiov! Loved a lot of Toal stuff. Due for a revisit...

Thanks,bryce, mike, all
Avatar 1:11am

Avatar 1:12am

Good night, Bryce!

Hello, everyone else!
Avatar 1:14am

Damn, I missed a band called Mr. Fox! I'll have to dig in the archives later!
Eric Hat:

One of my favorite early crate thrifting discoveries...this Mark-Almond.
Avatar 1:22am
Jeff Conklin:

@Fox: Its a good one.

@Erc: Same but my Dad gave me a heads up on it.

@Douglas: Thanks!
Eric Hat:

Nice Jeff.
Eric Hat:

I just realized, no Dark Star at the top of the second hour?
Eric Hat:

I guess I haven’t really been around for a bit...
Avatar 1:26am
Jeff Conklin:

Hmm. Dark Star only opens 1 out of every 6 second sets....
Eric Hat:

Haha! Nice.
Eric Hat:

That’s a ballpark figure tho, yes?
Avatar 1:28am
Jeff Conklin:

I just made it up
Eric Hat:

Yeah. Cause I’m sure there was practically a year straight throughout which you kept that fire burning...
Eric Hat:

Honestly something to look forward to every week.
Avatar 1:31am
Jeff Conklin:

I like to mix it up and keep you all on your toes..

Since "American Beauty" wasn't released until November, this audience was hearing some of these songs for the first time!

I will say that the game was unusual
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33am

Mark R:

The Eagles winning their first championship since 1960 is unusual. A backup quarterback beating a Hall of Famer is unusual. The Patriots losing a Super Bowl is unusual. To name a few unusual occurrences. I'm sure there were many. How many horses did the Eagles fans punch, is the question.
Mark R:

Cars start to lose value the minute they leave the lot. The value of FMU continually increases as you are culturally enriched. Your IQ spikes. You'll have more energy. Your spouses and girl/boyfriends will notice a renewed spark. FMU donations pay for themselves many times over.

Jeff Conklin:

Thanks for listening, all. Take care.
