Reminds me of when I was watching a Chicago Sting (NASL) game at Soldier Field & got diarrhea. The winning goal came while I was in the men's room. Then I just barely made it home via bus in time to hit the toilet again.
  Mon. 6/29/15 6:10pm Tommy:

A Boy Named Sue is a Shel Silverstein song covered by Johnny Cash

How's come Kobe Bryant makes his teammates cry all the time? Because he's such a ball hog?

How long does it usually take for the most recent WFMU playlists to get update? I heard a song on Scott Williams show a few minutes ago and wanted to see what it was.

You all should do a special show on knuckleball pitchers..... Does anyone throw them any more?
  Mon. 6/29/15 6:40pm chalmers:

As Red Sox manager, Zim reportedly gave the crucial fourth start in the "Boston Massacre" to rookie Bobby Sprowl over Bill Lee because Lee had called him a "gerbil" in the paper.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 6/29/15 6:43pm redkayak:

Hell, they should let ALL the managers bet. It'd make the game a lot more lively
Avatar    Mon. 6/29/15 6:44pm JakeGould:

Anyone remember the name of an old 1960s/1970s weird baseball player? As in he was physically gnarled or something but he was on some team.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 6/29/15 6:49pm redkayak:

No Neck Williams was on the White Sox....
Avatar    Mon. 6/29/15 6:49pm JakeGould:

"Moonlight" Graham had his one and only big league appearance 110 years ago today for the NY Giants. He would become a subject of W.P. Kinsella's "Field of Dreams". (And played by Burt Lancaster in the flick).

The coach in the dispute with Puffy is the same guy who as a Jet staffer tripped the Dolphin running down the sideline in kick coverage.

“Gaedel is one of only five Major League players who drew a walk in their only plate appearance and never played the field.”
     Mon. 6/29/15 6:58pm Listener Robert:

Wait a minute -- you WANT someone on the comments to give the FCC ammunition vs. you??

It didn't come thru, anyway.

Sad death for Eddie Gaedel, “On June 18, 1961, the unemployed Gaedel, who had just turned 36, was at a bowling alley in Chicago, his birthplace and hometown. Gaedel was followed home and beaten. His mother discovered Eddie lying dead in his bed. He had bruises about his knees and on the left side of his face.”
