Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Note: When this show was originally aired on WFMU, the CD that I had recorded it onto skipped badly and caused the loss of about 6 minutes of the program. WFMU Tech Titan Jeff Moore was kind enough to take the CD and get the "as intended" version of this show in the archive - sans skip and including all of the originally produced program. Thanks Jeff! Thanks to the Accuplaylisters for always being there and for your kind comments. If there was some kind of Arbitrons or charts, I think Dusty might be in a bit of a trough right now. Listener comments are down lower than they have been in a long time, and communications, e mail, etc. is pretty scant. I actually feel pretty good about the show, though. I have been getting out to interview regularly and I've been working hard to deliver solid, if not earthshattering programs for you. Sometimes they are a bit dull. Since I don't have the luxury of a lot of time, I tend to take the the first 6-10 interviews I can get and I go with it. In the old days I would sift through 3-4 hours of interviews a week to get the best stuff. It's a bit more hit and miss now, but to my mind, everyone is a valid interview subject and has something to say that deserves to be heard. I know I could go "live" or play music and most of the listeners might like it better, but I think I find it more satisfying to do this kind of show. Liv I just get manic and turn into a loon, which is fun maybe, but it's taxing and ultimately not fulfilling for me as much. I don't know though. It's all good. I try to have fun and hope that in doing so it will translate over to you somehow. I'll keep doing it until I quit, or they yank me off the radio. In the meantime, thanks again for listening and all the best to you. I appreciate your being here, especially if you are reading this, because I have a feeling the amount of people who get this far are few indeed. Hey! If you made it this far --- if you read this --- email dusty@wfmu.org and just say --- i read it, clay. That would be nice. OK, then. Enjoy your June. Keep an eye on the moon. And always remember. One time I was having a meeting at a very austere, facny office when ab intern rushed past the desk we were at and accidentally smashed some fancy ceramic paper holder on the ground. We told her not to worry, but she stood there—visibly shaking—saying, “But… But… It was a nice thing! And I broke it!”
