I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Wondering if the Futura-Poesia Sonora from last week's show is in any way still available? The original vinyl is prohibitively expensive - which was the one played, I believe. Grabbing the cd version from rutracker as a precaution. Can't find that either.

Brilliant techies out there: Any idea why I am not getting connected to the FMU and GTDR streams today (only), and yet the Ichicban and all others preprogrammed are working fine? This is on our Grace Digital Inet Radio. (Streams come in fine on our Squeezebox, btw)

Avatar 1:31pm Honey Water:

Thanks for letting me know I still exist, still b/p! :) I'm on a direct chat with someone at Grace right now. She suggested that the "stream has most likely been updated recently" -- so I asked why the Squeezebox is not affected... I'll try Kenzo if I must abandon all hope otherwise.

Christ was at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem a lot: "The Mount of Olives is... the place where Jesus stood when he wept over Jerusalem. Jesus is said to have spent time on the mount, teaching and prophesying to his disciples... and also coming there on the night of his betrayal. ... Jesus [also is traditionally reported to have] ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives."

The US Air Force has requested more funds for its drone program. That's exactly what we need. More drone programming. Less Bieber, too, while we're at it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm G:

I love doing the math on popculture stuff we remember. :-) The Gong Show is now as old as Fred Astaire movies were in the 70s. :-)
Avatar 2:29pm BSI:

@DCE: the fellow that runs the Tibet Shop on 18th street just opened a 2nd one in my 'hood. A couple of respectable gongs & singing bowls in there. OH for some disposable income...
Avatar 2:30pm Honey Water:

The bigger the gongs the lower the singing voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Mike East:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm DCE:

Avatar 2:36pm Bryce:

Loren, I will have one this year, though it won't be in the printed mailer.....
Avatar 2:37pm Honey Water:

I'm thankful for the "E." so I don't confuse this artist with the other Cheryl Leonard's Sparring Elephant Seals track.
Avatar 2:40pm Loren:

I got a letter saying there is no way in hell WFMU is sending me Ken's premium... it was worded a bit more eloquently
  2:40pm Joe voltage:

Found cool signed lp at goodwill. The liberation of the contemporary jazz guitar on strata-east. Haven't listened to it yet. Needs to be cleaned. You know it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:41pm G:

"no way in hell" is a well-known legal boilerplate term that the station's General Counsel must have demanded be included.
  2:44pm Lawyer-type guy:

Actually, G, the current preference is for the phrase "no way on the face of God's green earth." "No way in hell" is considered arcane, and used mainly in wills.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm G:

My bad lmao
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm Hugo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm G:

@L-T G: maybe that meant Ken's premium is DEAD.
Avatar 2:46pm Loren:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Ice King:

I love Ken, but after all these years, I know better than to go for a Ken premium. Half the time it is very late or gets cancelled.
Avatar 2:53pm still b/p:

So I'm checking back in & reviewing -- in order -- and I see the sequence of gong references, and what phrase do you suppose occurred to me straightaway, if it wasn't so past-the-comment-moment already, to toss in there, and then what do I see next, with HW quick on the buzzer, wot give me a laugh? We're even up, now, on adaptnotionary terms for the day.
Avatar 2:54pm still b/p:
