I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Bonsoir Bryce !

This really is something, yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm DCE:

I could not resist impulse-buying this just now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm G:

Espresso hot off the kitchen machine... This has been the same thing for 30 minutes? I was in and out of the room from noon on...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Ike:

  12:39pm mick:

just tuned in....
so i`ve missed 40 mins of this?
Avatar 12:39pm Bryce:

Avatar 12:42pm Honey Water:

@Ike: Is that a giant spider or crab being tossed?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm G:

That flickr is not bryce threatening to boobytrap the garbage unless someone pledges in the next five minutes, is it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Ike:

@HW, my memory is blurry, but I don't think so. Probably just a snack-item-related optical illusion.
Avatar 12:49pm Bryce:

wow, i just realized that link lunk. nice, kenzo!
Avatar 12:49pm Honey Water:

Some freakin' huge snack.
So Ike, did you decide to hike because of your name, or did you take the name because you love to hike?
Avatar 12:58pm Honey Water:

Flynt works especially well streaming from two sources that are a bit off-synch. Nice.
Avatar 1:02pm Parq:

By the way, Madison Square (the neighborhood, not the Garden) is under water.

  1:04pm mick:

it`s working very well with the waterfall infront of my house also...windows are open.
Avatar 1:05pm chocolate monk:

i'd like to see flynt and conrad wrestle butt naked bar a heavy sheen of olive oil
Avatar 1:08pm Honey Water:

@Parq: That's not a honey of a situation. :/ Aren't you in that neighborhood, or at least near?
Avatar 1:09pm Honey Water:

@mick: What tropical paradise is that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Richard Nixon:

Good Lord, my bird would LOVE this song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Mike East:

@Parq - might be a good time to check the ShakeShack Cam.
  1:11pm mick:

haha...tropical !! it`s about 4 celcius and raining like mad.
in lippe, germany, next to this place (an old paper mill)...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Mike East:

ah - no water, but also looks like no line. Everyone get over to ShakeShack!
Avatar 1:11pm Bryce:

chocolate mork, it's....weirdly easy to imagine
Avatar 1:11pm Parq:

HW, I'm right across Madison Square Park from it. I had been planning on passing right through that area on my lunch break. Alternate route time. Mike I've got our building's 5th floor window.
Avatar 1:12pm Honey Water:

Don't you keep a spare canoe on hand?
Avatar 1:13pm chocolate monk:

@bryce, my thoughts exactly, don't know what that says about our brains. maybe its just a bald guy with big eyebrows thing
Avatar 1:14pm Parq:

HW, I like your new 'tar. Also, I dig the Greek Goddess pic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm G:

Agree with Mike East. All Manhattan denizens know nothing is any good at all unless there is a huge line for it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm braveness23:

I think Pierre Henry is a little obsessed about tuning his sitar
Avatar 1:16pm Honey Water:

@Mick: No, not tropical at all. :) I enjoyed a museum in Kassel, about an hour and 1/2 away from Lippe.
Avatar 1:17pm Honey Water:

@Parq: Thanks! That was my costume for a Halloween party my ex and I hosted in N. Hollywood many moons ago.
Avatar 1:19pm Honey Water:

[oh, and Parq, that's really my hair I braided into the scarves for the Athena do.]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm G:

Avatar 1:21pm GetOutOfDarkness:

That Pierre Henry was great. What track was it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm Richard Nixon:

This song reminds me that I need a new battery for my cordless pencil sharpener
Avatar 1:26pm Bryce:

Hey, getout, it's all part of a soundtrack he made for the dziga vertov film
Avatar 1:26pm Honey Water:

Was it or is it still Henry? Whatever, still rockin' the off-sync dual streams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Richard Nixon:

I thought I sensed a thin film on this song
Avatar 1:27pm Va Van:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm DCE:

please let me star Pierre Henry!!
Avatar 1:29pm Honey Water:

That last bit sounded like a water main break.
  1:30pm Water Main Break:

Hey, we have our sensitive artistic side.
Avatar 1:31pm Honey Water:

@WMB: Yes, you're overflowing with emotions.
  1:31pm Marble Blender:

What's my cue?
  1:32pm Water Main Break:

Sometimes I'm kinda gushy, I admit.
Avatar 1:33pm Honey Water:

If you guys could hear it with the syncopation I am hearing it in, you'd double your fun.
Avatar 1:33pm Bryce:

hi, van! dce, should work now. i guess it needs a title!
  1:34pm Vince G:

Challenging track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm G:

Yes, it seems like someone decided to let people star only individual tracks, not artists or albums... Not a biggie, but...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm DCE:

star, conferred
  1:37pm mick:

@honey : yes, kassel is quite near. i lived there for 6 months as a young person.....rough place (eg. smoking 8 year olds).
Avatar 1:39pm Honey Water:

@mick: Rough? Admittedly we were only there for a visit to the castle grounds where there was this lovely little museum with some extraordinary Rembrandt's. And that was '74, so ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm Richard Nixon:

Has anyone seen my nose hair clippers?
Avatar 1:39pm Parq:

G: The 'someone' to whom you should address that comment is Kenzo. I have always found him very willing to consider comments from users.
  1:40pm Doug:

Butch Morris, RIP
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm stefica:

i like starring the track, as different recordings by the same artist can be very different.
Avatar 1:42pm Bryce:

hey, stef, how was golden?
Avatar 1:43pm Bryce:

doug, i know......really bummed around here.

if you're still around come 3p, kurt's doing a show-long tribute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Andrew Waterloo:

Nixon is here.. won't be nodding off at work today
  1:43pm mick:

@ honey...haha. i was 1 year old then.
yes, it has it`s rough areas where it`s not fun to walk around.
  1:44pm Doug:

That's great to hear.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm G:

i said 'someone' very deliberately, because i've been alive long enough to know that the person who does something is not always the person who set the policy carried out... and ("no biggie") i'm also not *trying* to get anything *done* :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm stefica:

hi bryce! it was great! danced as much as i could, but some of those dances are pretty inscrutable. only survived until midnight after working in the kitchen all day. (i did food prep to get in for free.) would have been better if you were there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Has anyone tried Saffron Slim? I get about 30 e-mails a day about it, so it must be pretty good stuff, right?
  1:46pm Joe voltage:

Hello Bryce!! Home early from work. Nice to catch the show.
Avatar 1:47pm Honey Water:

@mick: Then you are only two years younger than my husband. :)
Avatar 1:48pm das:

Haven't tried Saffron Slim, but Angelina Jolie sent me a message regarding some sweet diet pills
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm G:

gotta get me some o' those angelina diet pills, those must be some hardcore valley of the dolls type pills
Avatar 1:50pm Bryce:

joe !!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Richard Nixon:

I sit behind a pretty aggressive firewall at my clients site on Fridays. It sometimes really f@#ks with the audio stream. The thing I like about Bryce's show it that it sometimes takes me 30 minutes or more before I realize that I am listening to a completely garbled audio stream. I puased the Flash player and resumed it and now am having a completely different aural experience from the same song.
  1:51pm Joe voltage:

Avatar 1:51pm Honey Water:

@G: I've heard they make you want to stick out your leg in an incredibly awkward cant and hold it unsteadily for several seconds.

@G, the family size comes with a pre-adopted Conglese child.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

From now on, any e-mails with Saffron Slim in the subject line will be automatically deleted. I won't be bothered by them anymore. Nyah!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm Ike:

@HW@12:49, family took me hiking in VA when I was a teen and I dug it. No name connection. Nature rocks.
Avatar 1:59pm das:

It totally defeats the purpose!
Avatar 2:00pm Honey Water:

Simon Mayo interviewed Anne Hathaway and asked how she was able to lose all that weight for Les Miserables. Must say she was lifted even higher in my estimation when she refused to reveal "H-wood secrets" in case any teenaged girls might be listening. Very cool of her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm fleep:

Ok, you are that you are, already.
Avatar 2:01pm Honey Water:

@Ike: Guess you were out on a long hike just now. ;) Have you ever hiked out west? Yosemite's nature at its finest, IMO.
Avatar 2:02pm Bryce:

IED! :)

joe, nah, didn't know. who's making it?
  2:02pm common:

am i?
Avatar 2:02pm Honey Water:

This track's a bit less mollusk in double stream.

Avatar 2:06pm BSI:

SIR BRYCE! That Pierre Henry/Gordon Mumma bit made for some ideal walking through the bitter cold w/FMU app. My eternal gratitude. ... now to thaw out with an oatmeal stout. or three.
Avatar 2:08pm BSI:

...and leaving the stream burping out of the iPhone speaker in a center position between the computer speakers playing it off-time... is perfect for this Heidsieck bit. My clock, she is cleaned. Again.
Avatar 2:09pm Honey Water:

tu-tout-tu-tout tu-tout-tu-tout no. 44
Avatar 2:09pm Bryce:

hahaa, one wfmu stream is just not enough
Avatar 2:10pm Bryce:

i hope SoundExchange isn't reading this
Avatar 2:10pm Honey Water:

@BSI: I've been hearing two streams just a split second off-synch for the whole program (except for a bit of I Am That I Am) -- it is most excellent.
Avatar 2:10pm BSI:

Great little mental salad-shooter, it is.
Avatar 2:13pm Va Van:

Greatness, this
  2:13pm Joe voltage:

Diane says hi.
Avatar 2:13pm BSI:

Had to bail on FMU early & head home, as the Wicked Winds here actually tore the large corporate logo off the side of the building, thus creating a precarious danger to everyone (?) and forcing me to run home in search of oatmeal stout. And now, multiple streams. I dig.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm DCE:

I have to assume he's naming things more important than, say, his grocery list
Avatar 2:14pm steve:

ok got this goin on two separate computers with two sets of speakers on opposite sides of the room.
Avatar 2:14pm Honey Water:

"Va Van" -- you're already ahead of the echo curve.

Good thing it wasn't the Nike swoosh.
Avatar 2:16pm Honey Water:

@steve: It is dizzying. :)

Avatar 2:18pm Honey Water:

@Julia: The Andre-Arcand? It is really nice. I will star it as soon as one appears.
Avatar 2:19pm BSI:

JEEZUS EFFING HELL, I need more streams at contrasting time-delay! Waiter!

Avatar 2:21pm Bryce:

  2:22pm richierich:

glad i'm not the only one who can't get enough of a good thing- got the show playing in the bedroom and living room. It's offkilter sweetness.
thanks Mr Bryce!!
  2:22pm Julia:

@Honey Water: the Heidsieck, actually. My older relatives were always talking to each other rapidfire in French or Hungarian. I was a kid--it was really confounding and seemed very rhythmic + musical.
Avatar 2:25pm steve:

nice richierich. quadrophonic sound = good times
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Hugo:

@Bryce: Nice piece. Une poesie physique!
Avatar 2:27pm Honey Water:

French is a very musical language. Not sure about Hungarian, but supposedly Finnish is closely connected, and that I've heard a lot of. It's very monotone, almost opposite of any lilting language. :)
Avatar 2:28pm Bryce:

(and estonian!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm fleep:

Maybe it's too cold there to lilt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm G:

@BSI 2:19: Search for "audio delay" in app listings online?? They exist
Avatar 2:29pm Honey Water:

Estonian monotone or lilting?
Avatar 2:30pm Bryce:

can we get the stream-to-listener ration over 2.0?
Avatar 2:32pm Honey Water:

I could add iTunes and a dinky laptop speaker for 3. Is it detrimental to any others or the system to "hog" multiples streams though? Hope not.
Avatar 2:34pm Va Van:

Ah, hear comes the auditory ringling again, sweet
Avatar 2:34pm Honey Water:

Heh! Wow -- three streams a-poppin' now. Apparently two are almost in sync though.
Avatar 2:35pm Bryce:

i think it's fair to assume fmu's streaming capacity may exceed this show's target demographic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Richard Nixon:

Great show Bryce. You play some funky stuff. I like! Gotta run. Hope to see you all next Friday!
Avatar 2:36pm Honey Water:

Good then.
  2:36pm steve:

not if we each have 10 streams going. lets level the playing field.
Avatar 2:38pm Honey Water:

I could fire up Philo's Mac for 4, but I think I'll stick to three. Three's a great number.
Avatar 2:38pm BSI:

At least I'm a target demographic for SOMETHING. And this Steel Cello thing is beyond crucial.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm northguineahills:

So, Honey Water is a salamander now, nice.
Avatar 2:43pm Honey Water:

Forgot I could play FMU in iTunes through our stereo surround system -- now it's trippier than ever.
Avatar 2:44pm Bryce:

totwurst, is your company's logo pointy or round?
Avatar 2:45pm Honey Water:

Hi, ngh! Isn't she a cutie! The color scheme of "hair" and eyes are spot on, too. Philo saw it and said "Ponyo!" :)
Avatar 2:46pm BSI:

The bit of it that took a dive is straight AND bumpy at the same time (!!!!). And technically I'm a mere contractor so I'm not supposed to know about these things.
Avatar 2:46pm pierre:

still here… still listening… still enjoying… opening a beer…
Avatar 2:47pm BSI:

"totwürst" could (almost) be a contender for the next moniker...
Avatar 2:47pm Honey Water:

  2:48pm albie:

Avatar 2:49pm BSI:

@BSI: So why haven't I heard audio yet of molten iron gurgling 1000 miles below the earth's surface? :)
Avatar 2:51pm Bryce:

Avatar 2:51pm pierre:

@Honey Water : non, but I've heard about it, it's a Jaxques Audiard movie right ?
Avatar 2:52pm Honey Water:

oooh, this is like a flock of honky geese coming out of 7 speaker sources...
Avatar 2:53pm Honey Water:

@pierre: I'd have to look it up to be sure -- saw it back in 2002 or so -- but it came to mind last night after talking about films really enjoyed on Fab's list. I think it's very good.
Avatar 2:53pm Bryce:

mr. chop shop gave me some "geophone" recordings, hahaaaa
Avatar 2:54pm BSI:

geese on PCP and Robitussin, clearly.

@ Hugo : I have to watch this one to.
Avatar 2:59pm Va Van:

Thanks Bryce!
Avatar 3:00pm Honey Water:

@Hugo: I'm pretty sure I've not seen that but know I should -- 93% at RT top critics. I say "pretty sure," because Philo's always telling me we've seen something when the title brings no recollection. We see far too much.
Avatar 3:00pm Parq:

Scuse me while I adjust my glasses. I thought at first that Bryce mentioned a "butch moms" tribute. You can only begin to imagine what I pictured.
