Favoriting October 6, 2021: Radio Recidivism: October 11, 1985!

Join me as I dig through some old cassettes of my college radio days back in the mid-1980s, and listen as I recreate the playlist of a show from 36 years ago! Will you recognize all the songs?

And it's fundraising time again, as we roll out the October Hellraiser campaign! Please make a pledge to support freeform radio by clicking on the banner at the top of this page! Make a pledge for 1985 Mary, who never once dreamed that she would be on WFMU in the future!

And you can listen to most of these songs without the mic breaks on the Spotify playlist that I created to record the music for today's show! Be a hit at your next 80s party!

News flash: my 1985 voice does NOT sound like that! I discovered later that the "tape speed" dial on the cassette player had been turned down so the tape played slower than normal! When I adjusted the speed, my golden radio voice returned! What a relief! So, pay no attention to that part of this mic break, except to enjoy my cringing and laughing.
