Avatar 4:19pm
YETI BOB:

@Hugo - I don't think you'll be disappointed.
@Honeybear - I know what you mean. The funny part is, I *hated* Gravity on the first listen. I was a teenage rocker, I randomly read something in Guitar Player magazine saying "Some people consider Fred Frith the best guitarist in the world", so when I happened to see Gravity at Sam Goody in the mall (!), I brought it home expecting it to sound like Jimi Hendrix or something. "What is this crap?" was my first reaction ... but something made me keep playing it over and over until I got it.

@Honeybear: Also your avatar reminds me that FF played a few guitar parts on the Residents "Commercial Album". There's a movie that came out in the 1990s called "A Step Across The Border", a bio of Frith, it's highly recommended if you want to know more about him - he is an absolute genius, one of my all-time favorite musicians, up there with Eno and Robyn Hitchcock.

Is Stinking Bishop the best name for any cheese that has ever existed? How can that be topped? (I've never had it... yet. Hooray for life goals.)

I've been picking up stuff on Bandcamp Fridays and have not had time to listen to older stuff in those tiny windows when we turn off WFMU. People talk about how hard it's going to be on pets if we all go back to work out of the house, but it's going to be a real bad withdrawal situation if I can't have WFMU on all day. Aitch/Wendy: yeah, really. Surprised it doesn't exist. I'll have to ask my cousin the chef if he makes cheese as well. There certainly are enough voodoo-branded hot sauces.

Bye Handy!

Mariano, remember when the EU made Wales relabel its cheese because it turned out there was just not a legally constitutive amount of dragon milk in the Dragon Cheese?

Just saying. Just. Saying.

Hi chris in the redwoods! Are you taking Amazonian mushrooms?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

@Yeti Bob: Wow. That's a very Black Sabbath cheese. I didn't know that existed. Using charcoal on the exterior, or in a line down the middle, is common, but not adding it to the entire cheese. Dang.
Avatar 5:42pm
YETI BOB:

@HH: Haha, not really. Trying to do a bunch of things at once, attention split N ways.

Hi spodi, nice avatar!
Avatar 5:46pm
YETI BOB:

@chresti: No, just found it looking around online for "Black cheese". (Searching for "Black Sabbath cheese" turns up a bunch of references to some stupid band called Mac Sabbath that sings about fast food - I'm not interested!)
Avatar 5:47pm
YETI BOB:

I'd love to try it though.

@Jim Price: Yes - I heard one or two of those shows and ages ago I even had a C-90 cassette I recorded off the air with one of those episodes. I wish I had that tape now!
There are no recordings of these shows, are there?
