Good morning Jeffrey and all fellow planeteers
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 6:06am Frenchie:

Good Morning everyone, tuning in from France. Lovely beginning.
Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:09am Sem:

Good morning, Jeffrey and Steve, and hello, spamoni, Andrew of EttabeeCokeee, and Frenchies, from the shores of the mighty cold Bay of Fundy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 6:10am Jeffrey Davison:

Greetings spamoni, Andrew in Etobicke (?), Frenchie, Sem...
Sat. 3/16/19 6:11am David in London:

Morning all you Shrunken groovers out there, and Groover in Chief Jeffrey.
Sat. 3/16/19 6:13am Andrew In Etobicke:

Etobicoke is a suburb of Toronto.
Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:16am Sem:

When I was in Canadian private radio, I collected DJ mispronounciations. Etobicoke was a stumbling block for many, above is how one DJ rendered it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 6:17am Jeffrey Davison:

Okay, this is the first prize we're giving away this morning...Colt, a gorgeous album by Hilary Woods of Ireland. She was in town last week. $20 or more gets you in the running for this CD
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 6:18am Jeffrey Davison:

Andrew, hey there, it's just that sometimes you spell it differently. Not sure if that's a local thing, slang or suchlike, or early morning typing!
  Sat. 3/16/19 6:29am Sylvia:

Hi! what a lovely surprise to be on your show this morning, Jeffrey, thank you!
I'm in France at the moment, Michael is in New York, sound asleep (blessed are the archives)
Have a nice weekend, everyone :)
Sat. 3/16/19 6:39am David in London:

Always interests me that - archives aside - if you listen in ‘real time’, one’s experience of FMU differs considerably depending on where you are in the world and the relevant time zone. Things I think of as ‘classic’ FMU I listen to in Europe in the mornings, but are on in the middle of the night in North America and probably have much smaller US audiences in consequence.
Sat. 3/16/19 6:39am John from Florham Park:

Morning guys
Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:39am TDK60:

Morning Jeffrey and Steve.
Sat. 3/16/19 6:40am David in London:

Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:41am Elle Elle:

Good Saturday, all :)
Sat. 3/16/19 6:41am John from Florham Park:

Sat. 3/16/19 6:42am John from Florham Park:

Sat. 3/16/19 6:45am John from Florham Park:

Morning Annie
  Sat. 3/16/19 6:45am Sem:

@David: early to bed, early to rise....proved to be ineffective in making me healthy, wealthy or wise.
But a habit is a habit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 6:49am annie:

hey john, spamoni, . sem, i love to get out of bed before sunrise, watch the daylight arrive. i love the time-concept played out in "Little Monsters" , all the doors to the underworld slamming shut as the sunlight creeps along to the west.
Sat. 3/16/19 6:50am John from Florham Park:

@anne your a west coaster cool
Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:50am Sem:

@john - ah, traffic in the other direction. Do you listen to 6Music at all?
Sat. 3/16/19 6:51am David in London:

@Sem. Au contraire, I see you as a person of some wisdom. And as Meatloaf nearly so said, one out of three ain’t bad...

  Sat. 3/16/19 6:58am Listener Robert:

$400k to make up this weekend to make goal. A lot, but based on recent Marathons I wouldn't put it past us.
Avatar Sat. 3/16/19 6:58am Sem:

@David: one out od three. Heh.

Off to the Market, see you and all next time, Jeffrey. Best of luck today.

thanks robert, yeah,it can be done..have a great day sem!
Sat. 3/16/19 7:00am David in London:

FMU has a natural constituency in Europe, and the web allows the two to join together. If it were the only thing I ever used the web for, it would still be the greatest thing ever.
  Sat. 3/16/19 7:01am Listener Robert:

For budgeting reasons they really do like to get the pledges at this time, but people shouldn't think of it as "last chance", because they'll take donations any time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 3/16/19 7:01am Jeffrey Davison:

This great Doc Watson double LP is today's grand prize. Get in the running for a pledge of $75 or more...
Sat. 3/16/19 7:01am David in London:

@john, Stuart Maconie’s show The Freak Zone is like a mini FMU and is available via the BBC Radio iPlayer. Well worth a try.
Sat. 3/16/19 7:02am John from Florham Park:

@Jeff this station has been a godsend to me started listening to the station when I was moving from Floridia up to here back in November and trust me lit of great music and when I discovered the accu boards I was welcomed with open arms. Don’t have the money right now net to spare this year but next year around this tine will do sone volunteering for the station

I hope she meant that metaphorically, with the books, because..

"According to Google's algorithms, as of 2010, a total of 129,864,880 books have been published.

If we estimate that each book contained 300 pages, this hypothetical mother-of-all books would contain 38,959,464,000 pages."
