these chumps that walk down the street with covered coffee cups are indicative of the decline of the Egg and Spoon race.

Don't do it, Marcel! White Manna instead)

Marcel M:

White Manna is generally my go-to but Burger King is right by the tunnel!
Avatar 3:29am
mark1981:

I loved their chicken sandwiches that came on a long bun like a sub. My friend had a good BK scheme when we were teenagers. She used to ring up orders, pocket the money, and then give a refund in the till...I worked at Wendy's. I did not have a scheme sadly!
Avatar 3:31am
Diezel Tea:

Excuses, MM, just always some plain old excuses for going with BK.

ben abs:

Morning Mark V! Fave time of the radio week again. @Diezel Tea, agreed, think Matt W played her yesterday also @Marcel, whop on!
  3:34am
Marcel M:

lol. also.. I used to go to White Manna before my show when it was 3 to 6 but I tried to go once at this time and they were closed! I pleaded with the guy and he gave me burgers but they were like cleaning or something.
Avatar 3:35am
Diezel Tea:

So, the second Burger King here in EVN opened earlier this year. Within a couple months there was a massive explosion during open hours when an oxygen canister exploded, injuring a couple workers and a handful of patrons. No deaths. The patrons included 4 Iranian tourists and 1 Russian tourist. True story.

So, on the topic of sandwiches, there's this amazing deli down in Edison on 27 after you get off the parkway going towards Metuchen that has the best tuna fish sandwich in NJ. Or it did. Maybe they're closed, haven't been there in 7 years.

I do the glottal stop. I don't say "written on the wind" I say "wri'en on the wind," but I think that's very common.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41am
Guido from Cologne:

Nina Hagen Band made essential contributions to German sung rock in 1978. Even though the Punks hated Nina for being "fake Punk" and the music hardly being "punkish". Authentic excentric (even in her GDR-years).
Avatar 4:43am
mark1981:

Oh thanks for the link, Scraps. There's hope for the future, righ[t]?! "It’s quite possible that the glottalisation of “t” will soon become a standard feature of British English. An initially socially driven change will become so widespread that language learners (that’s to say children) perceive it as neutral: just the way we say things."
