Logging into say, of all of the recent William Berger tributes, this already sounds like he never left the place. Also, for those who did not know about it there is a tribute LP on Bandcamp from February 2017 that was pretty heartfelt when it was released, even more so know that he’s passed away: “‘Rise William Rise’ is a compilation for the benefit of William (Wm. to his close friends) Berger, longtime WFMU DJ (host of My Castle of Quiet) and proprietor of Prison Tatt Records. Wm. suffered some serious health issues in late 2016. Wm. has been a huge supporter of underground music for decades, indeed his show has been a nexus of music, from the New York area to the rest of the world.

The idea for this comp came about spontaneously a few days after we heard the news about Wm.'s health, and within a few weeks it was complete.”

Thanks for playing the happy cat and UW.
Bill was an amazing band mate and talent.
Heartbroken that he is gone.
More Happy cat please.
Fyi: He had a home recorded song called Bunny Race. It is sweet.
Would love for that to resurface. Thx!!!
