Circus Lupus  Pressure Point   7"  This is the b-side of the "Pop Man" 45. In case you've never heard my on-air rant about Pop Man, I am very much of the opinion that it is one of the truly perfect songs of the last 15 years. On New Year's Eve of 1999, I had this great idea that I was going to close out the Y2K paranoia and usher in the new century by standing on the roof of a friend's studio in Queens, screaming out the lyrics to "Pop Man" at the indifferent Manhattan skyline as the odometer rolled over to 2000. But that fell through and I wound up spending that New Year's shooting hoops in a suburban New Jersey driveway. I sank a nice swisher just as the clock rolled up to midnight, which lead to my still-in-effect outlook for the 21st Century: Nothin' but net.
