Oh man
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:28am Scraps:

Thank you. When I was in the hospital, his show was great. I got some postcards somewhere
  Wed. 12/7/16 12:33am sibeliuss:

oh no didn't realize :( :(
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:35am Scraps:

At least he's already home.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:36am coelacanth:

Wm.'s krautrock premium is pretty premium.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:38am Scraps:

I was astonished when I realized that he was in Uncle Wiggly. I liked them, and I tracked down all their records twenty years ago
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:40am coelacanth:

he'll bounce back. he might need a slight lifestyle change though. my father had a stroke at a later age than Wm. and came back to nearly the same cantankerous pain in the ass as he would've been.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:40am upsetter5001:

I read about his poor health and was broken. Just had another friend hospitalized with diabetes recently. 2016 indeed has been rough. I really wish him well. Healing takes time.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:41am osvi:

Nice to hear ya, Jonathan Herweg. Much love and quick recovery to our homie, Wm Berger.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:41am Scraps:

You know that I had a major stroke eight years ago, right coel?
  Wed. 12/7/16 12:42am Ike:

Thanks JH. Here's to Wm. fighting his way to a full recovery.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:42am Jherweg:

He'll be back, I'm sure,,,,,
  Wed. 12/7/16 12:43am rw:

Man, sorry to hear about Wm. Wishing you a speedy recovery Mr. Berger!
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:43am coelacanth:

i did, Scraps - though i wasn't thinking about it just then when i posted.
...i'm assuming it was a small one or he wouldn't be home already.
...and that's not to say any stroke is small.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:44am Scraps:

That's why it's a very good thing (i suspect) that he's already back home
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:45am Scraps:

Wishing him well.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:47am geezerette:

Just saw Gary Beydler's name in playlist & did a double take.
I saw his film "Hand Held Day" when I was a student and knew him very slightly from openings ,friends in common.
"Hand Held Day" is poetry. It killed me that he stopped making art, glad he began again, didn't know he was gone.
Skip the youtube but if any of you get a chance to see his work do so. He was the real thing.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:53am coelacanth:

i WILL see those films, g. Thanks.
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 12:54am Jherweg:

Yes thanks for posting.....!
  Wed. 12/7/16 12:56am rw:

Thanks geezerette. I remember seeing (and being influenced by) his work when I was a student too. Haven't seen any of the films though. Just the still photos with mirrors.
  Wed. 12/7/16 12:59am rw:

And those film sound amazing. I think I need to see them too...
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 1:02am geezerette:

  Wed. 12/7/16 1:28am rw:

Jherweg, sorry about your wife's birthday. Sometimes there's no winning with these things. Personally I kind of like the idea of a terrible birthday cake. It's the kind of thing that could make a nice tradition: the annual search for the worst cake ever!
Avatar Wed. 12/7/16 1:28am Jherweg:

It would have been funny if I had planned it maybe.....
  Wed. 12/7/16 1:29am rw:

Okay, now that I think about it. I like the idea of a terrible cake, but maybe not on my birthday...
