  9:38am

Wiki says Jenkins & Co. performed an early 16 minute version of the suite on Ed Sullivan's show. An unusual invitation from Sullivan, who usually liked to keep things moving with acts that lasted just a few minutes. Patti Page apparently did a version later. Beverly Mahr, who was the original "Julie", was married to Jenkins and a siinger in his orchestra.

Hold On Loosely is indelibly imprinted on my brain as "early 80's"...I tried to hook up Jim the Poet with my favorite local radio show host Tom from WBEN in Buffalo....at the convention...hope they get to meet and interview each other...

I think the Arbies used to open for the Archies.
Avatar 11:31am

Then the Peoplemeters used to open for the Arbies, before the Peoplemeters became headliners in their own right.

TY Wild Neil! Hi Linda! Arbies is the slang term we used to use for Arbitron ratings back in the day. Great show, Joe, as always!
