Ah yes, a Roy Orbison record on MGM. All of Roy's albums and singles are now lovingly reissued in all formats and even released by a major label. Amazing. lots of great music not often heard. Roy's middle period.

Daddy Long Legs is the best (almost new) blues band I've heard in years. All their records are great.

Daddy-o Dilly:

Orbison on MGM: One of the problems was that MGM was known to quickly delete their records. Two years tops for many of their releases during that period unless it was a big seller. The times had changed and Roy not so much. His style of music went out of style even though he continued to record great music, if you liked that sort of thing.

One time a friend of mine was going to see Lazy Lester. I came into work on Monday and asked, "How was Lazy Lester?" He said, "Lazy Lester was fucked UP." (I guess Lester showed up so plastered, he could barely play.) But he sounds OK here.
