hola! bonjour! hi!
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 9:41am Cecile:

It looks like No Tears is coming back into rotation at FMU, and I welcome it.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 9:45am Polyus:

Cecile - dunno if you've checked out Barely Bros. yet, there's an OG copy of that EP sitting there right now. Scream With A View also.
  Fri. 2/27/15 9:47am Not Randy:

reminded me of "Return of the Son of the Monster Magnet" from the album Freak Out
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 9:47am Cecile:

No, I want to get there, but my life is going in every direction except the one I want right now. :(
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 9:48am Cecile:

this guy sounds like Peter Perrett
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 9:48am Thomas:

Good morning - total panicky stressball for the last 30+ minutes due to technical difficulties. Hope you like Gruppo di Improvvisazione...! That was not intentional
  Fri. 2/27/15 9:49am Bill F.:

Hi Thomas!

Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:18am Cecile:

which band is yours, Marcel?
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:19am Rev. Turnip Druid:

GAK! Missed th'People o' th'Bag!
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:24am Not Randy:

"Don't make a pie out of me if I should stay?'
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:25am Cecile:

this is awesome. Reminds me of the Grand Pumpkin from the Simpsons
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:25am Marcel M:

I believe its a talking pumpkin Not Randy. So in that case it makes perfect sense.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:25am Not Randy:

Last month I went to the saturday night show at Monty Hall. There I determined to, over time, listen at least once to every show in the weekly line-up.

And this show is doing my head in.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:26am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@Not Randy - being a pumpkin is a dangerous life.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:26am Not Randy:

A talking pumpkin? That does indeed make sense. Thank you for explaining! I must listen more carefully.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:26am Not Randy:

talking pumpkins sound seedy
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:27am Marcel M:

@Not Randy: Thats a good idea. There are so many shows I haven't given enough time to and should check out. But there is only so much time in a week, and I already seriously neglect my poor records because all I do is listen to WFMU.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:31am Not Randy:

Yeah. I feel the same. Mostly I catch the shows from the archives, to get a feel.

I found I mostly am a faithful listener to the talk shows: Why oh Why, Shut up Weirdo, Joe Frank, and one of my favorites "Miracle Nutrition"

Also Fools Paradise
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:32am Cecile:

I like Sportsy Talk.
I am kind of over Shut Up
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:32am Cecile:

I love it when Clay nad Fabio open up the phones to callers
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:34am Marcel M:

All the 6pm talk shows are great. I too absolutely love Clay and Fab together.

I remember the first time I heard Hearty White. I was driving and flipped on FMU and just could not stop laughing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:34am Marcel M:

I'm going to be a phone slave for SUW during the marathon. I am quite excited.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:36am Polyus:

Jones and X-Ray are probably my favorite talkers. Can't always say the same for all of the musical selections.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:40am Cecile:

I think for me and SUW it's almost a generational thing.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:41am Not Randy:

Yeah. Sometimes Hardy White really hits my funny bone. Some thing he did about a nativity scene, around christmas time, had me laughing out loud. I suspect he sometimes drops cannabis tincture on his tongue, based on something he said
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:42am DCE:

hello! having so much trouble with my computer...must be a soundcard issue. It's killin' me!
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:42am Not Randy:

Cecile, yeah, Shut Up gets old pretty quickly.
  Fri. 2/27/15 10:43am Not Randy:

Heck, I even listen sometimes to JM in the AM
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:44am Cecile:

I guess it's different now for a lot for women in their 20s and 30s.
I always felt that on the radio, I had to be a little more serious and knowledgeable than the guys. But that was 30 years ago.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:44am Cecile:

I also did my share of stupid stuff on the radio, too. Just not all the time.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:45am Cecile:

And I had my share of drunk off my ass shows as well.
Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:45am forestwidower:

Hey Tommy, loving this Christmas jam. Glad to listen live for once.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:47am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Ashamed to admit, I'm brand new to the Hearty White experience. Fully obsessed now. He's my new guru. 600% infallible.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:48am Cecile:

I have to start playing FMU at night and also music.
We were at the bar eating dinner last night, and I put Megadeth's Holy Wars on the juke box, My husband got misty and said "I miss you playing music at home".
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:53am Cheri Pi:

Cecile! *WEEP*
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:53am common:

i used to be in a band called low numbers. don't think it was that one.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:53am Cecile:

I know.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:54am Cecile:

He doesn't listen to metal much, but when he needs to, he wants to listen to it for hours.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:54am bibi:

hi brainies.
wow, this is like khanate going tweaking.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:54am Cecile:

I'm neglecting my duty! hahahaha
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:54am Cecile:

bibi, exactly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 10:57am common:

just thinkin that bibi
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 10:59am bibi:

this fyrce muons thing pretty nice as well.
muons ok, but please prevent me from asking g**gle what fyrce means. thx.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:04am Cheri Pi:

Whoa..."Red Brained Woman" is that an insult?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:05am DCE:

hmmm... hard to tell!
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:06am Sem Chumbo:

Not if you're a Republican, Pi.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:06am Marcel M:

Dang this is sick. Red Brained Woman.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:08am Sem Chumbo:

These people seem to know something. Maybe everything.www.redbrainlabs.com...
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:12am Polyus:

"and don't forget Gary Glitter". . .oh we haven't:www.bbc.com...
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:12am Cheri Pi:

great website! Red Brained Women must be data repositories.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:17am Marcel M:

Gotta head out. Very very great show today Thomas thanks.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:18am Thomas:

Thanks Marcel M!
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:35am HarktheUmpire:

For those who don't understand Dutch; someone wanted a motorboat, and he got one. The narrator found this very puzzling. That's what that song was about.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:36am Polyus:

Is this Gran Belt from Minneaplois? Sure sounds like them. The noise group, not the crappy beer.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:36am Thomas:

Ha! Thanks, HarktheUmpire
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:37am Cheri Pi:

Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:37am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Is this what satellites hear in space when they pass through the asteroid belt?
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:40am Cheri Pi:

yes jennique!
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:40am bibi:

hey ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ, nasa offers loads of space sounds on their website and, well, seems that space is pretty quiet as long as humans dont pass by and objects dont collide...
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:42am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@bibi - I've read that outer space smells like fried steak too. No joke. Only sensory left to discover is taste.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:45am bibi:

@ ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ, for a veggie as i am this is bad news, i seriously aspired to go up there once.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:46am GeesyCreesy:

I loved seeing Lightning Bolt in Cinci years and years ago. They played on the floor of SouthGate House's Ballroom, and while the crowding audience almost fell on the two sole band members, everyone in the crowd managed to prevent folks from falling.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:48am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@bibi - it's also been reported to smell like burning metal, so you can still go! www.popsci.com...
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:50am Sem Chumbo:

Wow! What show, many stars clicked. Thx, Thomas, and hope to hear you again next time.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:51am bibi:

metal saves my day again.
thx thomas for this show, it is booked now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:52am DCE:

I've found that if I kick the PC very hard then the sound gets better...what the hell does that mean!?
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:53am Cecile:

Grain Belt is good with food. That's about it.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:54am Cecile:

But I like to eat, so I drink it when I'm dining out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:55am sphere:

DCE, maybe you're jogging a connection the right way.
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:57am Polyus:

Grain Belt is a little too sweet and rice-y for me. Have not tried it with food though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 2/27/15 11:58am Greg from Bloomfield:

Thanks, Thomas!
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 11:59am Mister Dobalina:

♥Lightning Bolt♥
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 12:00pm Cecile:

Polyus and I are
Avatar Fri. 2/27/15 12:00pm Cecile:

that's the way to do it, Poly. If better beer is way too expensive, I'll drink GB with spicy food.
