Having had a broken leg many years ago, the applying of plaster of paris on the upper leg was a very sensual experience though I think I was not supposed to enjoy it.

Tony, Momus sings one of the songs on Hyacinths and Thistles by Stephin Merritt. Very good, but a bugger to say on air.

Apparently there are so many Beatles tribute bands in the UK, there's now an agency that will assemble one for you (they find the nearest J, P, G & R in your geographical region and send them to your event to "be" The Beatles). I wonder what would happen if you called them and asked for three Georges and a Ringo?
  Tue. 2/10/15 12:34pm Dean:

It's about time for a Beatles tribute band tribute band.

Utopia put out a Beatle-inspired album called Deface the Music in 1980, which I found to be good quality and made me chuckle.

  Tue. 2/10/15 1:52pm Dean:

Only one side of faithful included covers. My sense is that he wanted to show off his production chops. Contrary to some of the reviews at the time, his covers don't sound like impersonations of the originals, at least not quite. But the other side of original Rundgren tunes is pretty solid. "Love of the Common Man" is a grand tune.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 2/10/15 1:53pm Carmichael:

I found Strawberry Fields and Good Vibrations to be fun, in a production sense. Not sure about the rest.

Always enjoyed Thorn's work with Massive Attack. I feel like I've heard that "Plain Sailing" cut before, maybe even on GTDR, but I can't place where.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 2/10/15 2:18pm Stanley:

This album has a terrific 'feel' about it.
Avatar    Tue. 2/10/15 2:18pm listener james from westwood:

Looks like this is its first airplay in the available search, with Dave Mandl and Doug Wolk's Rhubarb Cake having played one other cut from its album. So I must've heard it in my dreams!

Any guesses as to the upcoming Genesis tune? Early or late? Something from Trespass, perhaps? Or "Twilight Alehouse."
