Hey hey! So there was a mysterious analog synth part that an unknown partygoer dropped on the ground near Exchange Place. Did it find its way to WFMU's lost-and-found section yet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 1/12/15 3:21pm Ike:

Or did I dream that whole thing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 1/12/15 3:22pm Scott Williams:

Thanks Ike - it was found and returned to our pal Dylan.

Saw Country Joe at an outdoor fest here on LI a few years back, and Bill O'Reilly was in the front row - CJ promptly told him where to go - wonderful stuff!

Oh, damn! This off the new D'angelo?? I was just told to listen to this album.
  Mon. 1/12/15 3:45pm Dean:

Q. Bill O’Reilly once compared you to Fidel Castro.

CJ. I had the delight of being the emcee and participating in a packaged ’60s show called Hippie Fest in New York state and O’Reilly was in the second row. He showed up for some reason. So I got to go out there on stage and tell the crowd that Bill O’Reilly was in the audience and that he had dissed me on his show, but that I didn’t take it seriously because he’s in the entertainment business and I’m in the entertainment business. In keeping with that spirit, I then dedicated the “F--- Cheer” to him. So 20,000 people yelled “F---!’’ to Bill O’Reilly.

Q. Did he leave or stay? What did he do?

CJ. He stayed and he watched the whole show, but he didn’t diss me on his show anymore.

I'm curious what Bill was even doing at a Country Joe concert. Guido, that's more than anyone would ever need to know about Children of the Mushroom.

Back in the nineties I made several DAT recordings of casinos in Atlantic City, I don't gamble much but I was fascinated by the environment(s) of the casinos.

And I apologize if the Old Codger and I are the only ones who remember what a DAT recorder was.

Avatar    Mon. 1/12/15 5:32pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Definitely remember DATs -- they were just science fiction to us poor noisemakers who had to sell quarts of plasma to get a wee 4-track cassette machine. Those were the days..
Avatar Mon. 1/12/15 5:32pm TDK60:

Coincidentally hearing Cale here and there on this radio station recently. Didja know he grew up with Welsh first, then learned English?
