That Lush cover was an annoying no.1 single from the 70s UK charts by The Middle of the Road, I think. I remember when that benefit album came out - various indie bands of the time doing ironic covers of 70s hits to raise money for the Anti-Poll Tax movement. Haven't heard it since then, so a real blast from thee past (used to love Lush back then).
