Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 8/29/14 1:43pm Alex In Illinois:

@Uncle Michael: There is this pop-music talk show on NPR, produced in at WBEZ in Chicago. Whenever they incorrectly use the word "penultimate" and whenever you correctly use it, I count it as just another reason why you are more qualified to host that show than those guys. So I thought it surprising that you would be from Kansas. But now that I understand that you are not, and have lived lots of places, it make more sense.

But probably not that track...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 8/29/14 1:44pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks, Alex...I think!

Mellencamp lives here but I have yet to see him
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 8/29/14 1:47pm Uncle Michael:

But he's promised to go die in a small town.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 8/29/14 1:47pm Mike East:

I saw Mellencamp at the same show that I did backline for Stevie Wonder...he was kind of a dick.

Lee himself this week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 8/29/14 1:51pm Uncle Michael:

How could I not?
  Fri. 8/29/14 1:52pm Dean:

Don't rub it in, @johnk77. I know, I know. It doesn't help that the article cites only to bands that played there in the '80s and '90s. I've mentioned this before: I had my wedding reception there in 2000, one year and a day before it closed. Drunk Horse played.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 8/29/14 1:54pm Brian in UK:

Ain't no actors around like Lee these days.
